The article focuses on the Lebensborn program but also mentions

\"Nazi policy reinforced this demand for Germany to produce more babies.
New laws banned women from terminating pregnancies if the resulting child
would be “of good blood.” The government incentivized young people to get
married and start families by offering “marriage loans” to newlyweds — a
quarter of the debt was forgiven with each child they had, so if they had
four children, the debt was erased. A new medal, the “Mother Cross,” was
awarded to women who produced many children: bronze for four children,
silver for six, and gold for eight. With each new arrival, a German family
received “Kindergeld,” or “child money,” as a monthly stipend from the
government, a practice so popular that it continues in Germany today.\"

When I grew up, it was considered to be rather outré that the Nazis
thought that it was OK for women to have babies out of wedlock.

And then there is ABBA... It\'s not very well known that the brown haired
girl was Lebensborn with a Norwegian mother and a German father; so ABBA
was not just a \"manufactured\" group but the product of genetic
engineering. (Presumably the others, being Swedish, were considered to
be sufficiently Aryan.)

yeah its why people catch colds more in summer. And why living in damp

Actually common colds are caused by one of several viruses. They reason
that they are more common in cold weather is because people spend more
time in close indoor quarters during cold weather and thus virus transmittal
is more common.

It sounds more like an informal arrangement than part of the Lebensborn

There are some evolutionary advantages to red-green colorblindness.
People with red-green color blindness can differentiate between much
more shades of khaki than unaffected people. This might help detecting
camouflaged food in a green environment [1]. Color vision deficient
people have a tendency to have better night vision and, in some
situations, they can perceive variations in luminosity that
color-sighted people could not [2]. However, it’s important to note that
colorblindness can also cause difficulties in everyday life [3].

The National Forests and Bureau of Land Management lands dwarf the

You can camp there presumably. Camping permanently would be living.
