Retarded by example is still retarded. Doh. Making the fucking

Silly rabbit. The word snip is used when quoted text appears, but
the post is not completely quoted.

What is so bad is that you actually sign your name to such a stupid

^^^^^^^^^^^^ that looks real good ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

physics-or maybe the advanced physics track?

Often not... they're lucky if they get a clear introduction to
electrostatics. And there aren't as many hobbyist opportunities around
these days (cell phones have replaced ham radio; salvaged ASICS aren't
as cool as old tubes.) Some very good EEs went into college 'cold',
although a hobbyist background does generally confer some serious
advantages to absorbing the theory.

John
i bet there are schools that don't even offer electronics as an elective
or whatever they called it in HS. like the HS attended by a girl i once
met. i was going to say "spoke with" or some such statement *without* a
preposition on the end, but you can't speak *with* a moron. you can only
speak *to* them and then it's usually a waste of breath.

the teachers at that school don't even care anymore because the students
don't want to learn and the parents either don't care or can't bust
their asses. the girl asked me why i "always" use "big" words. the word
that tripped her trigger was "integrity". that really blew me away.

"do he have to go to da liberry?" no, not the same girl. oh! a neighbor
kid whose mother wouldn't correct his grammar because they'd do it when
he went to school. "her can't have that." "her" being his sister. some
people...

the thing is, he *had* a point. the guy had an HTML example buried under

thanks John, Really guys no one is here to trample on any one else or maybe
if you are then I am in the wrong newsgroup. I actually came here to learn

Fred, my friend who are you upset with and why are you always calling people
morons? Is life nothing more than a big joke to you? Or would you prefer
to chat with children that have time to play childish games. That was
uncalled for and you know it . Please remember that this is the basics
newsgroup, the advance section is in Malibu!

Shaun

I remember writing to this group that one of the few reasons to top post was
to say that you consider the whole thread to be a pile of old monkey dung.

Here we go again, the children are squabbling and calling each other names.

You people are supposed to be engineers or aspirant engineers and this group
is supposed to help those new to electronics to learn from those who have
knowledge of the subject. Reading through this thread, where I can without
becoming nauseated by the petty bickering, I am amazed at the wasted effort
that you're all willing to spend on a subject which has nothing to do with
the purposes of the group. Your behaviour of some of you would get you
fired from any serious engineering company.

You are perfectly well aware of who you are and what you are doing. It's
probably not going to change your behaviour, but let it be known that your
behaviour is an insult to electronics and engineering in general.

To put it into words that even the children among you will understand the
answer to "The proper way to post to a group" is "Politely". Apart from
that, does anyone really care?

little
about electronics for my upcoming class in the spring semester and by the
way that is my major, EET.

Most of us are actually in SED and too lazy to delete the basics
address- that newsgroup is nearly defunct. As for professionalism and
politeness, this usually means assuming certain standards of behavior in
a cooperative effort focussed on some sort of production, it does not
mean all-around wimpy-nice person with infinite tolerance for sociopaths
and idiots. I'm fairly certain you're a poser. Why don't you describe
some of the prerequisite coursework you have completed?

If you're here to learn, then ask questions instead of issuing
proclamations.

I, for one, could care less about what your criteria might be regarding
professionalism and respect. If you have a question, ask it politely
and if/when you get your answer, thank whoever helped you out. Remember
that no one here owes you anything, is not bound by your rules and that
you're not calling the shots and you'll help to make this a more
peaceful place.

On the other hand, if you want to play, go for it!

This is true but I do have difficulty when top and bottom get mixed and
(normally) rather than post on it or complain I just ignore the threads that
get muxed ip like that which is unfortunate, I don't read this group in
order to stretch my brain in the area of re-sorting paragraphs of text, I
read it to learn from the answers posted, think about the questions posted
and occasionally post answers or witty? remarks.
