Rudolf, several different radios are available for this model. If it is
the standard one, radio mute can be obtained from the connector for the
stacker on the back of the head unit.
If looking at back of head unit and at stacker connector(which should not
have a plug in it) it will the second connector on the left top row,

Forget the stacker, use the empty connector on the smaller plug (next to
white wire), next to the power/speaker plug. (as per my earlier post)

Wrong, dickhead. You obiously dont know the difference between a connector
and a plug.

Maybe WES Components

Jaycar, WES, Woolworths, Oakley etc etc

I purchased our last lot for the camera with a charger from Woolies.
Before that I always got the blue unmarked batts from Jaycar.

What are you after?

WES....
9v cat-RB101
AAA cat-HR4U
AA cat-HR3UA
6v cat-DM65S

I can only find C and D in tagged.

Why only Sanyo?

I've had no good experiences with other brands, but the Sanyos appear to
last forever (240 shots with my SLR recently).

Also, Sanyo batteries have a very good reputation.

They're regarded as the best, from the old NiCad days. Might not be true
these days.

It's funny how brands can be so highly regarded in one area and yet be
complete garbage in others. Don't they now have a slogan like "affordable
technology" or something?

As funny as my statement is, I know of people who really believe that !
I use the Jaycar SB1725, 2400 mAh Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) cells,
and have found them to be extremely good.
As far as how many shots I get from a single charge, I have not kept count,
as it will change if your using flash, taking them all in a single session,
or over a few weeks.
AS previous posters have said WES carry them, so give them a call.

I've used the blue no name Jaycar batteries for some years and have
found them to be as good as any other of the same category if not
better. I used to use mine at one stage in a handheld radio scanner
which would require 4 sets (5 per go) of AA batteries a day and the blue
bats would run the same time on one set rather than 4.

Just over a week ago someone hit my car while it was parked in a local
supermarket carpark. A note was left on my windshield with a mobile phone
number and a first name.

** That is not worth a pinch of shit.

Since that time I have tried ringing it on a
number of occasions, at first it rang out, then i left an SMS and finally
now it seems to be constantly engaged.

** Even less than a pinch of shit.

I am hoping that someone in the newsgroup may have the resources available
to be able to provide me with a full name and possibly an address so I can
make a claim with my insurance agency.

** Huh ??

Make your claim and present them with the scrap of paper.

Sure to impress.

LOL.

Please, if anyone can help i'd be very thankfull.

** What you are asking is illegal for anyone who does it.

PLUS

How do WE know your story is not totally fake.

If you are able to help me, i can email you the details that were left, or
you can email me first on mike351 (at) ozemail . com . au

Any help appreciated.

You are a dick head. If he gives name and address then if the person doesnt
agree and the insurance company believes him, the company can take it to
court.

Either way its extremely unlikly that he will be left with the bill with any
peice of written paper. I had the same thing happen to me. Only someone saw
it and left me another note of the car's rego.

Now began the hard part. You can't get info about a rego without the persons
permission either from transport or the police. It was a yellow car that hit
me and two weeks later sure enough yellow car in car park at same shops with
that rego. Left a note that I would report to police unless he rang me up
blah blah and stupid girl got scared and gave me her address and everything.

You're assuming Mike is being above board with the reason behind looking for
the full name and address to go with the mobile number (I have read of a
case where this type of story was used by an abusive bloke to track down his
ex-wife and "sort her out"). If this is not the case Mike, my appologies -
just blame my overly suspicious mind.

Assuming the reason given is legitimate, I still think Mike will be out of
luck - its a very unusual response on the mobile. The mobile response
sounds like someone who is in the process of having their number
disconnected. Its possible that the person who left the number on Mike's
car is not the person with the number listed, but that the number may be of
someone they've got the shits with (ex-friend, ex-girlfiend, etc.) and by
leaving the number they're getting someone else to unwitingly agravate their
target.

And unless its been an established number for at least a few months, it may
be very difficult to get a reverse directory listing for it.

Ciao

Appologies accepted. I see your point too, they say stalking is on the rise
and I was mindful that people might assume this was the real reason behind
my post, however, it isn't.

And another possibility is that the number could be allocated to a pre-paid
service, in which case i've got no hope.

I really wish I didn't have to go to these lengths. If the person that hit
my car wanted to they could have left another note with a new number, as I
park my car there every day as I have done for the last six weeks, alas
they have not.

hi, does anyone know anyone who is using a jaycar smartcard programmer and
card to access foxtel satellite ?

the guy at the shop told me that people are using the equipment to watch
foreign channels

and that the foxtel codes are inaccessable (then i noticed he must have
had
something in his eye as it seemed to be "irritated")

any help out there ?
visit your local dodgy dvd dealer and get him to ask around.
a lot of 'em have contacts in the area of dodgy cable tv, shock horror.

If it was a telstra number, I probably could get the details you need .. as
you stated tho, if its a prepaid, theres a good chance the details
regsitered on it could be baloney ..

But then, i'm just lazy also :)

** Run a long cable under the floor - same way installers do it.

Should have said that it's on a slab. And it's the downstairs lounge room.

** Run the cable indoors - you work out how.

Consider buying a digital STB - will dramatically improve all signals,
esp the ABC.

OK this might sound really dodgy.... but would it work/help if i plugged
bunny ears into the STB?

** So you already have one ???

Results are intermittent at best with indoor antennas in the area you
mention - the pic will keep freezing or cutting out on some or all
channels.

you don't need rfid tags. simple resonant tags (like they use at

His cat already has a tag implanted, so that's why he was
heading down the RFID path IIRC.

I's try chicken wire (etc) on the gate first just to be sure that a
barrier in that place is all you need.
Well that's the obvious, inexpensive and sensible solution to the
problem, but where's the fun in that? :)

I phoned WES as well but they don't stock them either.

You'd think if F&P use so many for local production,
spares etc, there'd be a local supply somewhere.
Manufacturers buy the quantities required for the run + a bit.
Distributers only keep stock of what manufacturrer wants.

Any ideas?.
www.irf.com and find a distributer. If you are lucky they might have
some left over from, but most likely they will want you to buy a tube.

Failing that, a US supplier may be your only option unless by some
chance a local parts supplier has some in stock. Try the usual haunts
like RS, Prime, WES stc.
