I worked for a company for just under 10 years, long service leave was only
a few months away, got home from work; the boss rings; "I've got to put you
off". I was the service manager and the senior tech.????? Had me puzzled,
anyway I got another job straight away. Found out a short time later that
one of the apprentices came into some money and bought into the business and
then insisted that I be sacked. Aint folk luverlee. BTW he was a prick of
an apprentice, a smart arse lazy bastard if I ever saw one.
I have no hard feelings these days, I went on to better things and that
company went broke - tuff shit eh?

Three years ago my boss was so bad I took medical retirement from my high
stress profession of 30 years. Retirement was nicer than punching him in

face (and I'm non violent to the max ! ).
One guy who I'd worked with for 17 years was well known for not saying
anything and nobody had ever seen him upset. So it was a shock when he
told
me "If I ever get that *&^*&^)(*&^ in my headlights I won't have any
brakes
!!"
These days I'm sorry I put up with him for so long. If it hadn't been for
the job and my family I would of gone a long time ago, when he first
arrived

! (and it wasn't out of the ordinary, his behaviour or the private life).
So much for bush radio stations, I resigned on the spot. It wouldn't wash
these days...would it ?
Times haven't changed. Many bosses still don't realize that their most
important assets should be their staff.
