People don't want freedom, they want Mommy.

Kerry wants to have the GOVERNMENT run his healthcare.
He wants to "tax the rich" to help the "middle class",IOW;Marxism.
So, would you rather tax the middle class to help the rich? :p

Having 'fun' seems to be the most important things these days. It
seems he thinks he has done his bit when he buys his employees a
pizza on Friday afternoon, and a bottle of red wine to share.

And jobs. And the best medical and dental care. And an all-employee
SEP-IRA retirement plan that I've put a few million dollars into so
far. And raises and twice-yearly bonuses (Christmas bonus coming up,
everybody gets $1500. The bigger bonus is in April, fisical year-end.)
I'd be personally several million dollars richer if I didn't believe
that we should all share the profits we generate. Plus, I teach them
what I know about electronics and business, and avail them of my
impeccable humor. And we're always ready to bail them or their
husbands out of jail, which happens more often than you might expect.
We give about $25,000 a year to organizations like Doctors Without
Borders and college scholarship funds and stuff.
That's about the standard package each company in the Netherlands
gives. About an extra month salary in May (called vacation money)
and an extra month in December, often 1.5 month extra. But again,
just another of your smoke curtains, since these things mean nothing.

I prefer to do what I can to make the world better, and not whine
about how bad it is, and enjoy the good parts while I can.
You don't have to whine about, and please enjoy yourself, but you
should not turn making 'fun' into an art, not when the current
topic.

What are you doing to make the world a better place?
Never thought about that really. I'm not like you, keeping a
spreadsheet of my good deeds.

Try reading the testimony (there are several links to the text posted

that Kerry personally did something that could be successfully
prosecuted as a war crime.
Never mind "successfully prosecuted". Try even "wouldn't get laughed out
of court" as the standard. His statement quite clearly contains no
reference to himself commiting a war crime. You don't even have to
consider the Mens Rae issue.

I doubt it. He was a journalist when he served in the military, and

So "stupid" runs in his family?

I do not care much for Bush, but nonetheless must disagree with the
popular analysis of his demeanor in that classroom. His mind was
anything but vacant and he was not looking for guidance. He was clearly
stunned and his mind was racing. The 9/11 attacks were against him as
well as the US. The rapidity with which AlQaeda was pegged as the
perpetrator beyond all reasonable doubt is a condemnation of a major law
enforcement and intelligence failure in this country.

There's no such thing as Public Opinion - just a collection of newspapers
and TV analysts.

There is "Public Opinion", however it is never available through the media
outlets. Therefore it is very hard to get more than a small slice of the nation
wide perspective.

For instance, I live in a county there are a strong majority of Republicans,
and have only met three people who say publicly (not via the internet) that
they support John Kerry. I see an occasional bumper sticker for him, so there
are a few who do, but are ashamed to say so. So given I see almost no support
(Understandably) I see him without the rose colored glasses of those who think
he is the second coming of Carl Marx.

Clarence

Right-right -right. Your Bush campaign people have emphasized that you
should express your pro-Bush commentary in terms of individual personal
experiences- fictional if necessary, so you fabricate this story. You
are so tired, old, and predictable. You are pathetic loser, liar, fraud,
and paid Bush campaign operative. Kerry will win a landslide victory in
California- and with great justification- that's the reality.

nothing to be amused about this subject. We all sit on our
fat asses and it is damn easy to be amused about everything
that gets dropped on our desks, in the knowledge that lunch

Larkin is part of the problem. He couldn't give a shit less about
people dying and suffering, as long as John Larkin can "rise

What about the IRAQI people who died or suffered under Saddam and his
offspring? Or the Kuwaitis that died and suffered from Saddam's invasion
of
Kuwait? Freedom has it's costs.
That was 12 years ago or more. The world is upset about the last
war, not the Gulf War. *THAT* war was in response to the Kuwait
invasion by Iraq and legitimate. Neither did the world complain
about the invasion of Pakistan, when the US went after Bin Laden.

The last war was totally unjustified, and based upon lies. Open
your eyes.

I think the low blows are actually being thrown by the Cheney family
(specifically Lynne) and the republicans. It was pretty convenient for
Lynne and Dick to bring up their daughter when it makes Bush and
Cheney look "compassionate." It would be one thing if they never
brought it up in any speech or anything that furthers their campaign
with moderates...but they have.

So your an apologist for the attacks on Chaney's daughter?
You seem to agree that Mary is "Fair Game" and Kerry / Edwards may use her as a
punching bag. SHAME ON YOU!
You are making the baseless assumption that the statement by Kerry was
an attack. You must have been listening to a different debate, or had it
filtered through the Limbaugh filter.

Here is what he said:

KERRY: "We're all God's children, Bob. And I think if you were to talk
to Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian, she would tell you that
she's being who she was, she's being who she was born as.

I think if you talk to anybody, it's not choice. I've met people who
struggled with this for years, people who were in a marriage because
they were living a sort of convention, and they struggled with it.

And I've met wives who are supportive of their husbands or vice versa
when they finally sort of broke out and allowed themselves to live who
they were, who they felt God had made them.

I think we have to respect that. "

I think he was actually trying to say something nice, and to make a
point at the same time.

I think the thing neocons are bitter about is that Kerry was pointing
out, (quite cleverly) how hypocritical the current Administration's
support of the constitutional ammendment banning gay marriage is.
