No, at max he admitted he was a puppet on a string, at the time.
That defense didn't cut much ice at Nurenberg - so why should it do so now?

It has nothing to with today. But I am not amused when my
words get turned around 180 degrees only to serve your personal
entertainment.
Messing with OT's *is* Entertainment - passes the time inbetween build,
load, test (crash) cycles. Doesn't burn much CPU.

The Neurenberg proces was *short* after WWII. Vietnam are black pages
in the history book. To bring that into the election makes no sense
at all.

In general, yes.

Probably not, but what's it about, if you don't mind my asking? I
do know I like most Brit humour.

That makes it hard to decide my vote. Hillary would bring this
country to its socialist knees :-(

Take heart; my wife is convinced that the proposed Amendment to allow
non-citizens to run for President is specifically intended for Arnie.
Now, name a candidte that could beat him!

Well, this is ludicrous on the face of it. Naturalized citizens, maybe.

I never said anything like that. I never said you were stupid, or
wrong, or that you've lost anything. Why does everybody get so upset
about politics? I, at least, think rational people might elect to be
Democrats or Republicans or Whatevers, without getting hyperbolic
about it, or ripping posters out of one anothers front yards. My wife
is a Democrat, and that's fine with me; I sort of feel like she *has*
to be a Democrat because of what she is and does. She's going to vote
for Gigolo Horseface, of course. She thinks W is an idiot. She's
awfully cute.

How come we can *discuss* electronics, but just shriek about politics?
A country is just a complex dynamic system, after all, and the forces
and results are interesting. I do recall saying that the election of
JK or W won't make a huge difference.

Watch the PBS listings. It is (A) an insightful documentary of the actual
workings of the Britich political system or (B) a send up of all politics
involving entrenched forces.

It should be required view for all voters (everywhere).

Not likely that the Senate would approve her nomination. Unless Kerry
has very long coattails and the balance of power shifts dramatically.

The best situation we could hope for is opposite parties in the
administration and the Senate. Only middle of the road, non
controversial nominee would make it in.

It's not just politics. Piles of dead bodies are not just politics.
Glad to hear you have an awfully cute wife. I was going to add she must
be awfully clever too, thinking W is an idiot. But then again you don't
need to be very clever to come to that conclusion. Nonetheless I hope
she is, of course.

We can discuss electronics, sure. But to sweep all things in life under
the carpet of, eh, 'interesting' is simple minded. Wasn't it your
precious W recalling 9/11 as 'an interesting day'. The election of
W makes quite a difference. It means that the majority has voted
for a proven war criminal. Wake up.

Gore was/is a war criminal?

(Remember, Gore had the majority/popular vote, Bush won the electoral vote.)

You seem confused. Kerry is the one who confessed to war crimes!

No actually he didn't. Some right wing hate groups are spreading the lie
that he did to rationalize their vote to put a known traitor back into the
white house.
I saw the replay of the hearing in which he said he was only one of many who,
and listed many very gory details. SO if that wasn't him, who was the actor
pretending to be Kerry in front of the congressional hearing?

Do you think that isolationism is a better policy?

Bottom line is that VVAW was considered the primary, serious threat to changing
public opinion and it was thereby designated a subversive group and subjected to
rather improper state and federal police practices. John Kerry, no less so, for
being a representative and having credentials which were difficult to publicly
marginalize.

Better be careful with this "Truth" stuff. You might find yourself on the
suspected terrorists list.
