No it doesn't. COP predates the use of acronyms.

I agree, I think it's more likely that it's an abbreviation for
copper.
So named after the material from which badges were made.

Come on, folks; show a little politeness!

Are you talking about the "Guy Macon is a self-appointed OT cop" thread?
It's hard to keep track if you keep changing the subject line.

It's a unique talent. Nobody else here seems to know how to do it, so of
course I am tempted to show of this ability that I and only I have... :)

So you think "self-appointed OT cop is an insult? It looks like a true
statement to me.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

The word "cop" implies something other than making a polite request
whil allowing and even encouraging the person you are making the
request of to do wahtever he wants to do. It implies that nobody is
allowed to ask anyone else to modify their behavior in ant way without
all the baggage associated with the word "cop."

Whats worse is when morons like DarkMatter (Dark = Fecal?) who abuse others
get labelled as "self-appointed net cops" thereby tarring Guy with the same,
rather icky brush. Besides, I read "self-appointed" as "arrogant, jumped up
little prick" which IMO aint true - hes just trying to be helpful.

Cheers

I've even talked to *Robert* on the phone.

Hi Julie,

Are you female?

If "she" is, "she's" probably ugly and flat-chested ;-)

You really are one of a kind. Archie Bunker on his
bad days had more class. Or Al Bundy. And nothing to
compensate.
This isn't fair. Al Bundy might be a schlub, but he's no bigot.
And since his wife broke his spirit, he doesn't really care about
the size of shape of women's chests, except to needle Marcie, and
when he's "reading" "BigUns" or going to the nudie bar.

In fact, some of us aspire to attain the heights achieved by the
likes of Al Bundy.

Cheers!

that's the ... part. Actually many fish are carnivorous. I have a
few in my saltwater tank. But I eat lots of fish, shellfish, just
about anything that can't move too fast ;-)

He was quite nasty to me when I inadvertently posted a tiny binary - by
pasting text from dictionary .com into outlook, microsoft handily turned it
into a binary. And DM was really offensive - unnecessarily so. I am more
than happy to correct mistakes I make, but calling me a "fucking retard"
isnt a good approach. But he was amusing to flame, giving me the chance to
hone some witty repartee, and of course point out his inconsistent arguments
(what a choice there was!)
