Full Faith and Credit clause

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The neutrality of this article is disputed.

Section one of Article four of the United States Constitution is known
as the Full Faith and Credit clause.
[snip]

It is my understanding that fully 40 states have declared that they
won't recognize the validity of this clause if applied to gay
*marriages*.

And you're ignorant enough to believe the wrong guy.

The right G-d is the G-d of Isaac, Abraham, and Jacob, and He goes by
several
names: YVYH (if you are Jewish), Jesus (if you are Christian), Aslan (if
you are Narnian), Maleldil (if you like C.S. Lewis), or Illuvatar (if you
prefer
Elvin theology).

Only half of all gays have children, so why are there the same
number of them each generation, rather than an exponentiating
decrease in their numbers??? Do you know? Because a certain
number of gays are automatically produced by OUR INHERENT HUMAN
CULTURE, as a way to prevent other much more horrible things
from happening which would destroy our species!!
There is nothing such as 'gay' or 'hetero' to start with.
Being a 'product' of your mother and father, you are on a
scale *between* 0 and 100% hetero. Even JT is at least 1%
gayish, whether he likes it or not ;) He just loves to lurk
around in newgroups that are mainly populated by male
contributors, and the main topic of these groups is just
a convenient excuse for him ;)

Yep. Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled that it wasn't adequate to
allow gays to have just a Civil Union, it had to be MARRIAGE.

Quite surprising coming out the predominate church/police state.

...Jim Thompson

Uh, excuse me, but why not? I can't see how allowing gays to marry
hurts anyone else, and if it leads to more monogomy, good; that may
keep the drug bills down. Civil union, domestic partners, marriage,
what's the difference? Might as well let them rent tuxes and limos and
wedding dresses, whatever sex they are.

Of course the legal issue is different: the Mass court has
miraculously discovered a constitutional right that 200+ years of
prior jurisprudence somehow casually overlooked.

John
-----------
They did the same with slaves and women.

-Steve
Weren't freeing the slaves and enfranchising women both constitutional
amendments? The courts actually upheld slavery and male-only voting -
as they were properly obliged to do - until the constitution was
changed. Courts uphold law, and the Constitution *is* the law.

You bigoted peice of shit.

It's exactly the REVERSE of that, it has to do with everyone having
EQUAL rights under the law, and the State not being used to promote
ANY religion! The State has NO business regulating whom you contract
with. Marriage is a religious fiction the State should not even be
dabbling in, and if it does so for the sake of inheritance and for
the custody inheritance of kids, then any such thing it offers
should be available to all citizens, regardless as to whether some
fucking religion or other thinks that IT should have a monopoly or
make our laws for us!
Well said, Steve. I think. :>)

Well, you've brought up an entirly nother issue - now that were
off-off-off-topic ;-)
Yes, I hate the US's military buildup, and its imperialism, the pork barrel,
the
whole culture of thievery by the rich and powerful. And they're worse by
orders of
uncountability - they have the power to kill millions of people without
batting an
eyelash.

I'd like to see somebody ask, "What about the US's weapons of mass
destruction?
Who's going to police them?"

You know, don't you, that George W. Bush is the reincarnation of Adolf
Hitler?

In the eternal battle between Good and Evil, I'm afraid that I've found
myself
born into the country that's in the clutches of the Prince of Evil. I sure
do
wish Armageddon would hurry up and get the warmakers gone from Earth.

But I rant.

Cheers!

Are there any countries left that aren't all loaded with
freeloaders?

Try getting excited about the U.S. military-industrial complex and
their pork-barrelling habits - they make welfare mothers look like
very small beer. But electronic engineers don't make much money from
welfare mothers, do they ...

When has Walz ever advocated sex with children? Please give actual
citations, thank you.

And just because a person finds that something said by another person

Now, there's a broad sweeping generality. I guess we have a fundamentally
different philosophy of life: I believe that wiping my own ass is my own
responsibility and no one else's. I also happen to be childfree, and
infinitely grateful for that.

If I can't figure out a way to provide for my own well-being even if I
get old and feeble, I think it'd be time to put me out to pasture, possibly
with a barrel of vodka to ease my passing. I watched my Mom change my Dad's
diapers for close to two years. If I ever get to where I can't get to
the toilet on my own, I'm calling Dr. K.

But you're R. Steve Walz, and it's the world's responsibility to take
care of your every need, right?

Good Luck!
