Your analysis of this and every one I have ever seen you spout is

Of course they haven't been focused on profits, they've been a

It fits the needs of a small percent of the market. The folks

People can burnt to death by driving through a bushfire

It nearly happened to me back in 1968 - I drove through

No, but it's still early days.

So, why are you bitching about Honda? Maybe Honda's strategy
is to let the others lose money, make all the mistakes, then
when it's advantageous, enter and compete. How many of the
original auto compani

Honda's CEO Hachiago is the one who indicated he believes there

There you go, yet you deny it.

Not sure what you mean since you didn't really say anything, but I assume you think there is something flawed with the idea of an electric Hummer as opposed to the electric Tesla truck or the Rivian electric truck or any of the many other electric trucks in the works.

So what exactly is your complaint?

It's not just the fuel it's that when GM took the "Hummer" name and
started applying it to what were basically re-badged Silverados with a
body kit they became renowned for being overpriced and shit quality.
People couldn't get rid of them fast enough during Cash for Clunkers and
it wasn't just the fuel cost, they were falling apart.

The name "Hummer" doesn't have the cachet it once did (if it ever did),
like the Mustang has a renowned provenance, the civvy-"Hummer" H2 and H3
are the butt of jokes, at least about the few still in existence.

I always thought the H1 was the only real consumer hummer.

Being an electric move, I doubt they are looking to make it an off-
road performer, like Tesla's path.

They are trying to compete with soccer mom SUVs.

If battery tech gets a twofold or greater jump in capacity per
cubic foot and perhaps a boost in weight/physical density
reduction... maybe then we'll see 'performers'

Personally, I think a redeux of the perfect truck would be a nice
electric choice. The Chevy Luv. They could bring in all the new
tech folks have now with suspension, frame, and such. It could be
twice as good as it ever was even with a gas engine.

They instead went the Chevy Blazer direction. I really haven't had
much chance to look at them other than seeing the HUGE price for a
non-fullsize truck. Maybe an electric blazer!

Honda will eventually release an all electric model. They are
currently waiting to see how the industry and regulatory segments
iron out their ripples.

FYI, Honda is selling electric vehicles, it's the Clarity
electric, stupid.

You really are one stupid fuck.

in fact, I've publicly said that I don't recommend an EV for
anyone at the moment.

Good for you, you retarded fuck.

Another example of your dishonesty or confusion. I did not make
the post that you're replying to above. I did not say that I
don't recommend an EV for anyone.

Your analysis of this and every one I have ever seen you spout
is
about as retarded as it gets.

Buy it if you really want one, but they
will only be getting better and unless you have to buy a car
now, keep what you have for a few more years.

I would say that he and the rest of us know more about product
evolution than you ever have or ever will.

To call you a retard would be ad hominem. To call your behavior
retarded is not. You really have zero capacity to comprehend what
you read.

Sorry GM. I had hope for you for a while but...they've decided
to go to back to the crack pipe they were hitting before the
bailout. Well, that stuff has a high recidivism rate.

The electric will not be gallons per mile as in the old hummer
case.

So rethink your kink, dink.

It's not just the fuel it's that when GM took the "Hummer" name
and started applying it to what were basically re-badged
Silverados with a body kit they became renowned for being
overpriced and shit quality. People couldn't get rid of them fast
enough during Cash for Clunkers and it wasn't just the fuel cost,
they were falling apart.

The name "Hummer" doesn't have the cachet it once did (if it ever
did), like the Mustang has a renowned provenance, the
civvy-"Hummer" H2 and H3 are the butt of jokes, at least about the
few still in existence.

I always thought the H1 was the only real consumer hummer.

Being an electric move, I doubt they are looking to make it an off-
road performer, like Tesla's path.

They are trying to compete with soccer mom SUVs.

A rather critical review of the H2:

<https://youtu.be/Uj2e_kqiN-Y?t=393>

A better opinion of the H3 which was based on the Chevy Colorado
platform. But this is an up-trim model with the V8 the base engine was a
straight-5. the V8 only got 1 mpg combined worse fuel economy, lol.
Reminds me of when GM replaced the Buick Roadmaster station wagon with a
Corvette engine it gained 100 hp and fuel economy actually went up a bit.

Maybe an electric blazer!

an EV Blazer is a vehicle fleets and police departments might be
interested in, your utility van and interceptor can be the same car.
Fleet vehicles spend most of their time sitting but powered up.

I have an unconfirmed hypothesis that "military-looking" vehicles are
designed to appeal most heavily to people who never served, they are
going to be the armchair-general of their local mall parking lot

It appeals to all. Their is no reason that a prior or current
serviceman or woman would not also find them attractive.

Reminds me of an Spring Valley Ca man who got tired of a raging
asshole with a hopped up car bouncing around the community and
cussing folks, and he came out of his yard and put a few in the guy
and killed him. Some old Navy dude (the shooter). Said he was
protecting the neighborhood. You probably remember the case. I
think it was like '98 or so.

I looked it up and it was a bad situation. But the Navy guy got off pretty light for executing someone. I found one article that described the situation pretty well. There were numerous incidents that didn't get reported to the police and a few that were. It seems like people were very intimidated but still didn't involve the cops enough. Then a rather bad situation develops that makes the Navy guy very afraid and instead of calling the cops, he finds the guy and puts one between his eyes. I believe a total of 13 shots were fired (the judge explaining why it wasn't self defense). It was an execution.

Maybe the guy was a rabid dog that needed to be put down, but that's the job of the legal system. So the Navy guy went to prison for some 7 years or so.

Kinda off topic for the discussion about Honda EVs, no?

It was a remark regarding the "airchair general" crack by the
previous poster. Did you miss that?

And the guy got off light. He should have got the chair (I wish
that and gas were still around).
