Despite Phil's delusions, anthropogenic global warming is happening, and is worth worrying about. The coal mining industry would prefer us to ignore the problem, ans seem to spend a lot on getting "influencers" to try to persuade the less well informed (like Phil) that it isn't happening.

It is cheaper to buy misleading U-tube presentations than it is to try to do the sort of scientific work that might provide alternative explanation of why the temperature of the planet is going up.

The people who have tried find some kind of alternative explanation haven't done very well so far, so the mining industry is concentrating on cheaper options.
