Electrical licensing

you see, phoull, I don't have a problem with electricians at all. I dont
mind that they are the least educated and simplest of all electrical
workers.

What gets my goat is how they have lobbied to rig the system. I actually
dont think engineers should be able to immediately go off and do fixed
electrical wiring work. But putting a plug on a lead is a case of turning
over the packet you bought it in and looking at the picture.

What really shits me though is that there is not a relatively
straightforward short course option to allow those with higher electrical
qualifications to simply study the detail of the australian wiring standards
to get licensed and hence get fixed electrical wiring employment. You see,
and maybe the electrical unions have realised this, but the less simple of
us really dont shit ourselves sitting in front of an exam paper.

I think the adult apprenticeship is a step in the right direction its just
that I doubt many intelligent adults would put up with the trady crap that
goes on in building sites like some pimply faced simpleton would.

Obviously you have MASSIVELY pissed off all possible employers as an
engineer - none of them want a ranting, grandiose, stinking psychopath
on
their premises.

For you to call someone a "ranting, grandiose, stinking
psychopath" is irony at it's most complete Phyllis.

** That arsehole Harding must have thought I was talking about him.

Nah - not worth wasting such words on scum of the earth like him.

Ahh Yes!!
Of course people who do all that complicated electronics must know (and
have
experience) in running mains cables and connecting them. I often wonder
why
such superior beings want to humble themselves by putting on a plugtop or
crawling around in a ceiling "jerking cables".
Simple.

The ticketed electricians from the mines get paid a fortune and then go on
to be contractors,
managers, and executives, who sell the mine all the wrong and defective
equipment, and drive the mine into bankruptcy by paying cablers a fortune
..

The electrical engineers who build the system at the surface are paid a
pittance in comparison.

South Aussie.

No permit is required even when doing repairs on a customers premises

Ohh dear Nicky Boy
I hate it when you high brows talk technical, I don't mind you doing the
work since the repairs and updating work comes in handy !!

** That is Electronics Engineering - not Electrical.

no.. electronics is a subset of electrical engineering. In some
countries/universities the Electronic Engineering degree does not
exist.

..... you dont want to go there

When I am at work engaged in the design of the equipments power
supply
am
I
not a practicing EE? and engaged on an EE project? And if this is
so
may
I
not hook up the power lead and put the plug on?

** No need to have any license to fit AC plugs or leads to an
appliance.

Only those who install or modify electrical wiring in a
premises
need
licences.

actually thats not true, one of the techs at work recently had to
renew
their restricted licence (NREL?) to handle the connection of power
leads
to
equipment. Its a rediculous licence for qualified electronics people
to
have
to get.

Of the many, many threads I have observed you
"contributing" to over the years almost all of them
descend to you being abusive. You will _never_
learn will you Phil? You'll always continue spending
lots of your life on the internet beating people into
verbal submission and feeling superior because
you were able to do it. The more I observe you
Phil the more I feel sorry for you - when they have
had enough of your personality other people can
just walk away from you, however you are stuck
with you and that must be a _very_ unpleasant way
to live your life.

Seek some help Phil - you need it.

Mike Harding

PS. Don't bother wasting the electrons replying, we
both know exactly what you'll rant.

Ok sunshine, pony up the details and lets take a look at this shall we,

2 years of Honours no less.

First of all, 2 years is not a degree.

Second of all the first 2 years is basic science, you need to wait until
years 3 and 4 before you get hammered with electrical engineering.

Thirdly, Honours is awarded either on the basis of the results over the full
4 years, or on the basis of the 4th year results. Therefore you did 2 years
of engineering, not 2 years of honours.

Finally on the basis of this I conclude either you Failed you brainless
twit, or you pulled out. I bet you told everyone how crap the classes were,
and how they didnt know anything.

One thing I learnt early on Philboy is that you have to stick with things.

Finally, twits like you (yes I saw heaps of them ... the clueless as was
said elsewhere) dont realise that uni is not there to teach you. You go to
be guided and examined. In essence you need to put up with 3 years of pain
before you reap the rewards on what really interests you, and then at the
end of it you realise how useful the early stuff was when you get to the
crunch of many of the advanced topics.

As a result of this, Phil, I dont really think you have a clue what real EE
is. Moreover I think your a dickhead for giving up, or a twit for failing. I
bet these days your still the hobbiest blindly poking components into
breadboards.

** Wow - it can count to four !!!!

Then you have no *fucking idea* what they did there.

Finally on the basis of this I conclude either you Failed you brainless

** That you are an insane, evil piece of sub human vermin is abundantly
clear.

No wonder you are unemployed and unemployable.

No wonder you are so DESPERATE you want to take some sparkie's job off
him.

As a result of this, Phil, I dont really think you have a clue what real
EE
is.

** Well, one thing is for sure, a know nothing arsehole like YOU is not a
real EE.

Unless E = excremental.

Somehow I don't think you had any idea either Phil. Otherwise you wouldn't
be this bitter old retread you've turned out to be. Shit you may have even
been an engineer all these years. Fuck, look at what you became instead.
