No critisism intended here, but did they
factor in the percentage of Americans who
do, or do not, watch CNN and out of that
number, how many actually responded?
That would be difficult to know, let alone surmise.
One would hope that CNN would have interviewed just over 1000 people,
selected as far as possible at random. The methodology of polling the
public on such questions is well established.

Hmmm, the USA rage against persecution seems somewhat selective ??

We don't have the resources to kick every tin pot dictator out, and we
must be selective in what benefits us the most.

Maybe we need to elect the President that way.
A random polling of 1000 people. That's, what?,
20 from each state? Hmmm, maybe 10,000, 200 from
each state would be better. ;-)

Furthermore, how can we justify getting involved with one country and
not another?

So which is it? At one time you're asking if the US should get

Hmm. Clinton made some really stupid mistakes, but hiding behind his wife

Dear Jim,

Drinking too much wine will make you dumb and blind, pardner, and we see
signs of that here. I've been on the group since FIDONET days, 1986, and
on the Windows version since 1996. Open your cactus pickled eyes and look
around occasionally.

And what's that got to do with the price of horse puckey in your house?
Since you are a "professional", and probably a disenfranchised member of
IEEE and mensa, you should know not to Cross Post, especially off topic
messages to NGs. You've evidently been quite a success in electronics,
too bad you've lost your sense of ethics and self respect. You certainly
aren't a good representative of two great institutes of learning.

I see you started this mess, and seem bound to continue it. I think enough
of your practice notice I'm sending a copy to the FTC as well. That probably
won't do diddly squat to the practice of "spam in the NGs", but something
should be done to control this violation of decency.

You are the type of irritant that's ruining the NG system in general. you've
spawned over 200 messages I hope that helps pump your ego, it probably needs
some sort of boost.

Sincerely,
a digital non-fan

BOO HOO!
Actually most of those drugs are made by US manufacturers, imported to
Canada for sale, and sold back to the states, for LESS then those same drugs
are available for sale in the states. Go figure. Since I don't work in that
industry I don't really care though.

Sure you do. If they change the current laws governing the drug
companies, drug prices in Canada will go you as well. Current law
allows them to be sold at lower cost to less developed countries, and
americans have to pay all the development costs. New legislation would
spread that cost to all users. You could see drug prices double or
triple overnight if it is passed.
