Donate Frequent Flyer Miles to Our Troops

Sounds like you had everything done that they CAN do, it sure isn't
something I'd recommend! Glad to hear your still with us, and I WILL
get the CD.

I also lost about 30-40 pounds, so it's a damned effective weightloss
program.

Anything to cheer her up!

If it helps, I can talk to her, or chat/email. Might help to talk to
someone who's been there.

Now about 6 weeks of recovery time if we can get it.
She ate three meals today.
Strange when that is the best news you've heard in several months!

No, not strange to me.

I hope it goes well, I went to "clear liquids" twice, then was released,
only to relapse within days.
I know that won't be too comforting, but if it does happen, remember I
bounced twice before I was finally "treated and released".
She relapse twice as well. First time she was in a week and they said "she
would be fine" But in two days she was back. Second time she was released
with home TPN (I got pretty good with the set up, My advanced first aid
helped to understand the requirements.) and relapsed with a lot of pain. We
only had Morphine at home and you have to be cartful with that stuff,
besides it wasn't doing the job. Went back and went on torodol for the
pain, and went for surgery the next week. That was two and a half weeks
ago, but she is eating and the last thing is to be sure there is no
infection.

Appreciate the offer. May get in touch if she needs it.

Gee, that's great, but did you ever think about the possiblity that not
everyone here is from the states, and not everyone here exactly AGREES
with
what the states is doing??
Then *don't donate* - That was hard to do, Huh?

That's not the point.

They don't agree that Hussein needed his arse
kicked??? I guess they live in a glass case and
have never been persecuted.

Hmmm, the USA rage against persecution seems somewhat selective ??
We don't have the resources to kick every tin pot dictator out, and we
must be selective in what benefits us the most.

Now, I can't quite remember. How did Hussein get into power again?
Who funded Bin Ladin?
As greast as Americans are, we still haven't invented a time machine
to see what countries and governments will be our enemies of the
future. When you invent one, please send it to us, and we'll be sure
not to support and future Husseins.

I think the world would be quite a lot better off without the US
playing Big Brother to us all.
Not knowing what country you're from, I'm still willing to bet we have
US bases and troops where you live. American taxpayers footing the
bill for your safety. Ungrateful bastard.

No one disagrees that persecution is a bad thing. The problem is U.S.
involvement: should the U.S. get involved with EVERY country that has
a persecuting despot? Do you as a taxpayer want to go that route?
Iraq alone is going to cost us a minimum of $87 billion, remember.

Furthermore, how can we justify getting involved with one country and
not another?
So which is it? At one time you're asking if the US should get
involved with every country, then the next you're critisizing us for
being selective in our missions. Get a clue!

benefit our troops getting to their homes from Iraq?

...Jim Thompson

Do you think they accept frequent flyer miles from extreme leftists? ;)

SioL
Leftists will only "donate" the miles from other people, not their own miles!

Helping get soldiers home to see their families is good thing, and does
not
reflect taking sides in the conflict or otherwise agreeing with the
conflict.

Hmm, ok, consider this: what about Sadam's former soldiers? Do they
deserve the same?
If you think so, start your own milesforiraqis.com website.

Well, before you sign up, do they give you any kind of indication
what you might be in for? Anybody who signs up for a 2-year hitch
and then whines and snivels because they can't fly back to Mommy's
lap on a moments notice doesn't deserve to have been sent on a road
trip at taxpayer expense in the first place.
No solidier is whining about not being able to fly back home. That's
why the website is a DONATION website. Nobody is asking for taxpayer
money.

Excellent! I'll probably use this one. Thanks.

What percentage of American's agree with what Bush is doing?
63%. See CNN

Among poll respondents interviewed Monday and Tuesday, 63 percent said
they approved of Bush's job performance, while 34 percent disapproved.
The approval rating is Bush's highest since June and is a significant
gain over his rating of 50 percent a month ago.

No critisism intended here, but did they
factor in the percentage of Americans who
do, or do not, watch CNN and out of that
number, how many actually responded?
That would be difficult to know, let alone
surmise.

Wow. I didn't get any pain killers at home, at all.
Had some dilaudid (sp?) after a rather painful needle test.
That was interesting, hits like a mack truck.

Nurse pushes it in the IV, we wait about 30S, she asks "feel anything yet?"
"I don't feel anything ye-Woaaaahh"

I doubt that CNN only queried CNN viewers. If they had, the survey
would have been biased toward lower numbers. CNN viewpoints are so
obviously leftist it's sickening.

What surprises me is that only 3% didn't care,
or don't have cable TV. ;-)

Well, perhaps in a very broad sense, in most countries. I think we'd get
on quite safely in the short term in UK if all the US Forces went home.
But we would have a significant surge in unemployment.

Ungrateful bastard.
