Bush Has Thanksgiving Dinner with Troops in Baghdad

Oh yeah- Lincoln- a very tough no-nonsense individual- any war protests
during his administration would be met with quick riot police brutality,
incarceration, and possibly some example hangings. I guess this is a
form of communication:)
It's the same these days except instead of hanging they shoot them on
the street. Or use tanks and helicopters.

You will get no argument from me: compared to some of our previous
Presidents, this individual is a bit less. But he is President and
Commander-in-Chief at this point in time so he rates and WILL receive
total dedication and willing obedience from those who serve him.

Until, of course, he does something you REALLY don't like, and then you
will all seize your guns and kill him and all his entourage.

That's why you NEED all those Constitutionally- authorized guns, isn't
it?
There is no educating the mindless gun-rights Americans but you may have
a chance so here goes. The historical basis for the 2nd amendment is the
preservation of states' rights against an oppressive federal government
using methods similar to those of the British in Boston where they
required all citizens to deposit weaponry in a central armory, and this
turned out to be a ruse for confiscation. This cannot happen when the
government makes it a "right" to keep firearms in the home- note also
the same amendment states the right exists to maintain state militias-
this should have been a clue- most of the present day gun-rights nuts
would have been hanged by the founding fathers.

Victim? A convicted killer or other capital offender, sentenced to
death is hardly a victim.

All the better if his pain does last for an eternity.

What an unfeeling person you are.!

You should pray more often to your Maker for forgiveness.

Otherwise you will never go to Heaven.

I am sorry for you.

Yeah, I read something similar (IIRC the "zombie drug" is a mixture of
a number of different toxins, if it exists at all)

There's also a fairly high probability that at least part of the
legend is from real medical cases. Something called "narcolepsy" where
the part of the brain responsible for the sleep/wake cycle goes
haywire giving the impression of death (even to today's sensitive
equipment) and the person then (if they are really unlucky) revives a
few hours later having been buried alive! (saw this on Discovery one
time). Apparently it may take days to fully recover during which the
poor victim's family may see them walking around apparently in some
kind of trance.

Close but no cigar. Poor research terms. Add Wade Davis and
tetrodotoxin. But skip the Hollywood Serpent and Rainbow movie.

Some example sites:

http://www.webster.edu/~corbetre/philosophy/critical/corbett-davis.html

I consider this to be a much more important article than zombie
poison. http://groups.msn.com/TheAlchemistsCorner/yourwebpage3.msnw

I have a serious complaint. I spent over two hours at that first site.
You should add a 'Do you have time to spare?' warning when you posts the
URLs of site like that. (;-)

Well, if the foo..

Narcolepsy isn't coming back from the dead, it's spontaneously falling
asleep. See http://www.sleepdisorderchannel.net/narcolepsy/

We had a case of coming back from the dead here locally a few weeks
ago, which made big headlines locally, but I don't know if it was
noticed in other parts of the world. A 20 M.O. girl drowned in a
swimming pool and the police officer was going to do the death
paperwork when he noticed she was breathing! See URL
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-
dyn?pagename=article&node=&contentId=A17341-2003Nov8&notFound=true
Or do a google search on m jesperson pronounced dead or similar.

I drive by CHOC, where the little girls is recovering, on the way to
work, and when I pass by I think to myself, if that child grows up
normally, she has one amazing story to tell - of being dead and coming
back to life, and she did it all by herself without the Dr's help;
they'd already written her off as dead!
