A dope that touts Vista as viable...

I do not need to see what you declare as average. You are an abject
idiot, "above the idiot level" of the average idiot.

Hint: "above" means worse in this case.

You are an idiot.

I took the government contractor security seminar and the ITAR

I'd bet that yours is not.

Your brain... NOT 'enormous' in any way, shape, or form.

I know more about modern computer vulnerabilities than you ever
have or ever will, child.

'something useful'?

It would be useful to babble a baseball bat against your brain, boy.

In the key of b.

No.. I am saying that you do not.

I see you snipped your list of 'average PCs' that's near 20 years out of date, but not to worry

I'd say right now, not counting college student new purchases, which
are all likely at the i7 or higher level, I'd say an average joe bloe

doesn't) runs about at an i5 level or higher.

ok, good to hear you know the completely obvious.

Lol. Since I never said what I considered an average PC that statement can only possibly come from one place, and I reckon it's dark there.

Their 4-layer coupon sample board takes 7 hours to print. One serious
multilayer might take days.

I'd be concerned about defects, solder adhesion, and crosstalk.

I have not used it, but saw things similar at the Orlando FabTECH show.
Worth a visit, but I think the next one is in Chicago?

Anyway, I'm old. (-ish). And lazy.
So I get a tech to do the Gerbers and send them off to JLBPCB.
A week later, perfect boards are here - at ridiculously low cost.

PCBWAY does nice multilayer boards and stencils cheap, in 5 days.

I posted this because I couldn't see any real value to the process. I would also be concerned about the resistance of printed traces.

I also suspect this is a mostly useless gimmick. If traces take hours
to print, what about power pours? The mechanical and laser
milling-machine PCB fab things are also mostly useless.

Photoimaged/etched PCBs were invented roughly 80 years ago and are
still a great idea.

"Mostly useless"? Is that like "mostly harmless"? How do you know how long it takes for any board?

Actually "hours" sounds pretty good to me. It's not like anyone other than huge companies will want to pay for one of these. However, I can see a PCB house having one to make rapid prototypes on for customers. Then shipping will be the time limiter in prototype production. I've seen government bids sent on passenger airlines by buying the document a ticket.

Photoimaged/etched PCBs were invented roughly 80 years ago and are

So was the land line, but most people are using cell phones now.

I guess some people don't "get" many new ideas. Just because you don't have an immediate need for it doesn't mean others won't find it useful.
