Yes, most Presidents are like that to some degree. What fashion of other
person would actually want the job? Do you want that job? I don't want
that job. If I thought I had all the answers I'd probably go into
politics. Well, I guess I don't/didn't.

Obama seems to be a more ordinary, somewhat academic type. Perhaps not too
smart if he went into politics instead of something more lucrative, but at
the same time, apparently smart enough that, even if he does have a large
number of NPD indicators, he's awfully good at hiding them

Though I fear mentioning Obama here because everyone's going to irrationally
beat up on him. Since, for some reason, the previous opposition is non-stop
fodder for right-wing pundits, regardless of what they've accomplished. But
the administration before that, or the current one, never seems to hold any
interest...funny. It's almost like they're obsessed about identity
politics.

That's blatantly false. Our state has had multiple
very important confirmed orders taken over by Trump.

You mean taken over by the federal government. It's strange how some
people assume he's micro-managing everything.

Our orders were shipped to the US govt, which appears
to be stockpiling the gear. In one case we had paid
in advance, and had our payment returned. So our
hospitals are begging, and being denied items they
had on confirmed order, with a scheduled shipment.
Our Governor, who is a republican, is tearing his
hair out, and yesterday very publicly expressed his
frustration and anger. It's an anger we share.

But was that common things you need now like masks, or things another
state might need more next month like ventilators? It's likely the CDC
advised the administration to stockpile those so they can be sent where
needed later.

that some states have tried to buy and got outbid by the
feds, and he said if they just call, the feds will drop
their bid. Hardly controlling allocation.

That's blatantly false. Our state has had multiple
very important confirmed orders taken over by Trump.

You mean taken over by the federal government. It's strange how some
people assume he's micro-managing everything.

Why not? He takes credit for everything that happens... just none of the blame. He has Obama for that. I really can't believe that after being in office for over three years he still talks about the "bad" stuff he inherited from Obama. It is well documented that his staff ("his" as in selected by him, those "top" people he said he would bring in) was briefed by the out going Obama administration on pandemic issues. However so few of these "top" people remain that all the info seems to have gone with them.

If the guy at the top doesn't take responsibility for anything, I think it is time to get someone else in there.

Another example of why we would be better off with a way to give a vote of "no confidence".

There is no mystery as to where they will be needed. This isn't whack-a-mole. We can see exactly where this disease is headed and which hospitals will be going down for the third time. Gathering equipment in Raiders of the Lost Ark warehouses isn't helping at all. Instead they should be prioritized to the states we can see now will need them the most. If the orders need to be commandeered, that can always be done when they are actually produced.

The sad part is it doesn't matter if GM makes more ventilators. There won't be room to place 100,000 more and there won't be people to run them.

What should have happened is that we got our shit together and restricted INTERNAL travel and had a much more extensive and well enforced stay at home order. Even now we can't seem to realize we have to shut it all down in the affected areas and step up our restrictions in the rest of the country to prevent them from getting out of control.

We are far behind where we should be in limiting the spread of this disease and the result is an overloaded healthcare system that we can't do anything about.

The government departments that could have been working on this have dropped the ball in no small part because Trump was too optimistic early on and too afraid of hurting the economy later on. If Trump is the leader of this country, why isn't he leading? Instead he just tries to blame others.

Wow, Trump took Michigan with only 0.23% of the vote to spare. I'm pretty sure he won't win Michigan this time.

Why does he say this kind of stuff? I get that this pandemic was a hard thing to prepare for because even if you expect it to happen "someday", no one thinks it will be today.

But then to distance your support for the citizens of the US who put you in office because you don't like the criticism by the Governor of the state.. Trump's opinion of one person in the state means the entire state is slighted when they need support the most.

It is truly mind boggling.

Ummm because he is the biggest asshole around/ever. Educated ppl seem to get it that he really is dumb...no math skills, no logic skills, short attention span, and the most important: he demands everyone give him a pat on the back and kiss his arse in public. His 'news conferences' are a joke. Every single person who stands up to provide information begins by stroking his ego, and injects more stroking along the way. IS THIS REAL? Normal ppl do not behave this way. What is it that makes them do that? The only thing I can think of is this 'president' leads by fear and authoritism, and if that doesn't scare the american ppl, nothing will. Sadly, I recently saw a poll that showed his approval rating at 60%???unbelievable...must be because the ppl who are actually doing stuff during this mess don't have time to answer a poll.

Yes, most Presidents are like that to some degree. What fashion of
other person would actually want the job? Do you want that job? I
don't want that job. If I thought I had all the answers I'd probably
go into politics. Well, I guess I don't/didn't.

Obama seems to be a more ordinary, somewhat academic type. Perhaps
not too smart if he went into politics instead of something more
lucrative, but at the same time, apparently smart enough that, even
if he does have a large number of NPD indicators, he's awfully good
at hiding them
Though I fear mentioning Obama here because everyone's going to
irrationally beat up on him. Since, for some reason, the previous
opposition is non-stop fodder for right-wing pundits, regardless of
what they've accomplished. But the administration before that, or
the current one, never seems to hold any interest...funny. It's
almost like they're obsessed about identity politics.

Or they're obsessed about allowing the same Islamic brotherhood that
bombed the World Trade Center in 1993 to take over the Egyptian
government, and Isis to take Lybia and Iraq....

And I think I beat up on him very rationally.

It just occurred to me how many books there will be written on the insanity in the White House essentially as soon as he loses the election. Once he is lame duck he will be served for dinner. We can call him a Peking Duck President. I don't think there will be many who remain loyal to him. He shows no loyalty to anyone else. Just ask Chris Christie. Trumps loyalty to him didn't even last until the speech was over. Christie announced him and Trump told him to get on the airplane and go home. He wasn't welcome on the stage.

And we can ALWAYS rely on libtards such as yourself to tell us
which is which. OH, WAIT! Pres Trump IS building the border
wall!! He's already completed 150 MILES so far!!! I guess that
libtard in OZ land is OUT OF TOUCH!!!!

Look, folks... Hoo Hee Lou Hee grabbed a new nym. If you

150 miles of pre-existing wall sections, refurbished. That
is like
2mm on the 1 meter stick. Very VERY little progress and a lot
of wasted dollars. You kill your case with your own statistics.
HAHAHAHA!

We built bombers faster and they are way more complicated
than a
wall. Sounds to me like Trump lied again when he said he was
this great master builder. Sounds to me like yet another fraud
opening to finnel hundreds of millions of dollars into favored
pockets.

If one asks the contractors he filched hundreds of millions
of
dollars worth of work from, in New York and New Jersey, it was
THEY whom were doing the knowing part. Trump is dumber than
dogshit.

All Trump is or ever was amounts to nothing more than a
sleazy,
criminal level rent collector and mob money launderer, and fail
to pay debt builder bankruptcy artist. He pumped his filched
money back in and could not even do that right. He spilled huge
clouds of Asbestos laden air all over the people of New York
City and surrounding areas as well. And he acted like he did
not do that, then when faced with facts, he acted like it was no
big deal. And he aslo raised his family to be criminals and to
the point where they may not even understand their own
criminality (the daughter stealing fashion designs)(the daughter
taking part in illicit land grabs his 'organization' commits).

The wall IS being built AND the completed portions are effective:

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/02/14/trump-450-miles-border-wa
ll-115339

Note to you libtards: it is NOT necessary to build a wall over
the entire 2,000 border miles.

------------(quote)----------
The Pentagon informed Congress on Thursday that the Trump
administration plans to spend $3.8 billion intended to build
fighter jets, ships, vehicles and National Guard equipment to fund
the wall. In total, the Pentagon will have spent nearly $10
billion since last year to help pay for the wall.
----------(end quote)---------------------------------

Do you actually read the content on links you post? Doesn't sound
so good for your leader to be weakening the military and coast
guard to build a wall that can be tunneled under, climbed over, or
gone around.

You've been drinking the Jonestown Kool-Aid too much.

Or damnit... not enough. Have another glass full! FlyTard!

I used to make bets at bars where I would drown a fly and you could
come back am hour... two hours... even later and it was dead.
I can bring it back. I win the bet.

Just sit it on the bar and put a pile of salt on it.

The hell did that come from?

But 1993, that'd be just on Bush's way out, so I guess you're saying R's are
to blame?

The neoliberal (both R and D, and most western countries) policy to maintain
compliant dictators or a state of war in the middle east, is the direct
cause of terrorist groups; nothing mysterious about that.
