He didn't deny the state anything. He just said he doesn't want to

It's totally a problem. The states cannot ethically be allowed to
grab-and-hold extra resources when needs are critical, and war
powers on production
and distribution mean the higher authority (federal) ought to be able
to allocate for the duration of the emergency. The states cannot
grab
vital tools and equipment from the other states without federal
authority.
So, a federal authority that favors some states is a high-stakes
corruption issue. The president told the head of the COVID-19 task
force to snub a state. That's bad.
The insane part is that he did it publicly as a statement of his
power and a threat to not challenge it. I don't think it could have
been said any more clearly. Mob bosses in the movies are seldom so
direct.
If he truly meant it he would not have said it. You can't be so open and
corrupt at the same time. He just doesn't hide his feelings, but it's
only an expression of how he felt. Brutally honest is what he is.
Donald Trump has been a bare-faced liar all his life. Brutally honest isn't the right phrase - he's just a bully and he lacks the comprehension to be subtle about it.
LOL! You idiots are simultaneously saying Pres Trump lies and makes threats - so the threats, then, are lies!!
