(1) "What" was it that the "poor" had before we robbed them?

(2) Do you really believe this pablum, or are you just an ignorant
village idiot like Steve Walz? Ahhh! Yes! I see! btinternet ;-)

(3) We actually have a mentally deficient element in this country
(more commonly known as Democrats) who are screaming that the "poor"
didn't benefit from the tax reduction. Nevermind that they didn't pay
taxes in the first place. So W quickly *PAID* them some money... so
now it *PAYS* to be poor :-(

(4) With W's recent cuts, families earning under $40K don't pay *ANY*
income taxes.

Capitalism is one of the few known alternates to all lower case.
Interesting observation. Paradoxically, communism seems to CAUSE A LOT
OF CAPITALISM. A lot of exclamation points, too!!!

Right. Poor folks! The ones the rich have stolen everything from.
Miserable downtrodden masses can barely make the payments on the SUVs,
what with the cost of premium-channel satellite dishes these days.

Individual human rights apply equally to everybody under Capitalism.
Captilaism has two common senses: 1) a political system in which the
means of production are privately held, and, 2) a motivation to turn a
profit. Neither sense requires that "human rights apply equally to
everybody." The US under slavery is widely regarded as a capitalist
society.

Families of 4 earning under $40K can't even afford medical insurance in
any of the major cities because their rent is 2/3rds to 3/4ths of their
income, which money is funneled immediately to the upper 10% of the
population directly from their paychecks. They can't afford SUV's.
They have smaller, older, and most often used cars. They often manage
to have plain cable, but with no premium channels.

God, you sound like that insipid defective series, "Walking With
Cavemen" on Discovery!

We didn't "decide" anything. Some of us were able to stand a little
more erect and still function, and it became more useful. Those who
could tended to live a few weeks longer or could survive to breed 1%
better, that's all. Nobody "decided" to stand erect and thereby
"caused" it.

It was just a philosophical thought, perhaps I should have said 'the
species decided'. But now that we don't have to pick our bananas from
high trees and simple buy them in shops, we could of course try walking
again on 4 legs and put that 3-times-a-day thing back on the daily
schedule.

If that step is too big, we can start calling our arms fore-legs...

The decision is yours ;)
Thanks,
Frank Bemelman

Even the species "deciding" amounts to the "pathetic fallacy" wherein
mechanical processes are attributed active conscious intent.

And what few recognize is that even with the titular "end" of slavery
"de facto", it has not ended "de jure" in economic result, and that we
are still in process toward its end.
