Toshiba TV29C90 problem; Image fades to black...

Sorry to hear about reception troubles with Sirius. My suggestion is
that you purchase an mp3 player, prefereably one with a hard drive,
even though flash players are becoming reasonable. Don't get an Ipod
for they lick ass. You should load it up with all your favorite music,
and you will have something to compliment your Sirius. Trust me, I
would rather raped by a caribou while listening to DX'ed AM Stereo
station than have to put up with XM.

Changed servers eh? Idiot.

Oh, Rich, you know that XM is losing subscribers. All to Sirius.

Why is it, that when somebody attacks Sirius its "because the singal
cuts out". Ever notice they don't attack Sirius because their
programming sucks?

Oh, I'm an idiot. What have you done with your life. I own an ISP. what
have you done?

I takes it you call major league boreball, golf, opie and dopie, moron

Sirius = Never heard it

XM = 10
SIRIUS = 5 Reception Problems

Erich Schultheis and the Flathers Family = both suck.
I SUCK? I suck the nipples of my girlfriend Sara, who has big huge
knockers. You don't have that, do you? I also bought her a 40,000
dollar car and paid cash for it. That's when she broke up with me but
that's better than you have. You ain't never had a girlfriend or 40,000
dollars to spend, do you, mr "I had to get a loan to buy a Sony T.V.

It wouldnt be right to prejudge the programming until their transmission is
actually received.

Ive never listened to Sirius. I just got Tao xm2go a week ago & I honestly
have no problems. Except the internal anttenna, but we werent expecting much
from that.

You run your ISP off your Grandma's broadband connectiion, all done
from within your basement?

Eh, they sould have signed Dylan. Programming on both is about the same
but the quality of the sound is Sirius's problem. I'd rather listen to a
decent sounding Imus to a crappy sounding Stern.

I think you're comparing shit with shit here. I've only heard Stern
once or twice, downloaded his show, was bored to tears. However, IMUS
has been on here for years and I had to suffer through it every morning
doing equipment hauling.

I wish they had Bob and Tom here back then, I would've rather listened
to that comparatively.

I'd be interested to know what IMUS gets for ratings. I'm thinking
that most of his listener base consists of people in a condition
similar to that movie Awakenings, and I don't mean while they were on
the miracle drug.

I first heard Stern when I was in 9th grade or so, he was pretty whiny.
Later on I started listening to him every day at jobsites and he grew on
me. His show in the 90s was amazing, I used to laugh for at least an
hour every morning. When I was going to get married at age 23 I used to
listen to his stories about the in-laws coming over for thanksgiving and
it was exactly what my dad was telling me without the sidekicks and
pornstars chiming in. He was great. I postponed marriage till I was 30
thanks to Howard. You would have to hear those shows to understand what
I was talking about.

If I came home with a bloody nose and told my dad "His brother jumped on
me and held me down" my dad would say "Naturally, what would you expect
him to do?"

When Stern was just chatting about a news story, stuttering john getting
busted for something or someone getting sued for some reason he would
say, "Of course, what did you expect?" That simple phrase from my dad
and later from Howard completely diffused my righteous indignation (12
year old version anyway). So it was a part of growing up and in some
ways it helped reinforce ideas that I needed to heed.

I wish they had Bob and Tom here back then, I would've rather listened

I never heard their show except for Howard and Robin's spoof of them.

His ratings are dismal but steady, he gets a good portion of the AM
audience in the morning. That probably includes people who tune in
waiting for "Colon Cancer Hour" but obviously he keeps enough people
interested that he hasn't be fired. I had a 72 Chevelle a few years ago
with the stock AM radio, I listened to him when I drove it and he was
about as interesting as 880 news, not too bad but not compelling at all.

I might have to do some archive digging when I get some time by the
sounds of it. I did see his movie back a few years ago and thought it
was pretty good, but having never had the radio show available here, I
didn't really have much knowledge about the show itself.

Their show is actually rather decent, it is a big hit with the truckers
and transport drivers in this region. I listen to it if I happen to be
going out and getting breakfast or have to go to Boston.

He's also on MSNBC still I think, but i don't really know anyone who
watches him on there or listens to his show anymore. He visited this
city back a few years ago, I don't think too many people showed up to
the event.

I'd really rather have Mancow in the mornings here, though it'd be a
difficult decision between Mancow or Bob and Tom. I do generally
listen to Mancow here at home via the net.
