Michael, I DO LIKE YOUR APPROACH.

Do you know of a circuit layout, using NE555 in order to close the PC
switch button (using small relay) and open it after 500 millisecs ?

PCSW connects across the PC's "START" switch.

Thanks, John for helping him out.

My pleasure. :)

I lost all my tools because of
that crappy firmware bug on a Seagate Barracuda drive and haven't felt
well enough to track them all down again.

Bummer.

If you can get the VA to supply you with marijuana or a prescription
so that you can get it from non-government sources, your life will
change for the better, guaranteed.

Some years ago, I had an answering machine which, if I pressed a

Great terrorist tool!! :)

In what way, and please, when you quote somebody, include the attribution,
as in "Rich Grise said:"

IED = Improvised Explosive Devices !

I once saw some TeeVee documentary of somebody dismantling one
of those "Improvised Explosive Devices," and I saw a very
professionally-made shaped charge. It's not that easy to "improvise"
a shaped charge, as far as I know.

Why don't they just man up, and call them land mines?

Thanks,
Rich

Tim McVeigh didn't seem to have much trouble.
