Crap Arnie, it was the Australians who stopped the Japanese in New Guinea,
the only place that they could have invaded from. We also gave shelter to
McArthur after he got his ass womped by the Japs. The US certainly did do
most of the job against the Japs, but the Australians, Chinese, Brits, and
Indians also had a part in it. Oh and a guy called Ho Chi Minh who got quite
pissed off at the Americans who promised to help free his country from the
French after the war if he and his followers helped fight the japs. I think
that the US paid a pretty high price for not fullfilling their part of the
bargain.
And then there's the 'forgotten war' in Burma too.

You need a better news reader! I use Forte Agent
http://www.forteinc.com/> which provides kill options to mark the
post as read, delete the post or delete the post and all follow ups.
It also enables you to delete a sub-thread so you can ignore the
exchange between two posters having an off-topic argument in a thread
that you are interested in. It costs $US30.00 but I have been told
that the free Xnews <http://xnews.newsguy.com/> has similar features.

Forte Agent is a very powerful tool but way more than most people need.
That is true of all useful software. It is not possible to provide
general purpose software that exactly matches the requirements of
every user so it must contain features that most people don't need.

Not vague in as much as it was a question to a very american american

Gasoline dropped another ten cents a gallon since yesterday, for 50

gallon.

What are you paying, per gallon? Or per liter, if you can't do the

after Titus Andronicus, but it should have been... the
point being, there was nobody here.

But the weather is awesome.

Awesomely humid too I hear which wouldn't attract me.

Agreed.

I lived in Homestead for nearly a year. I've never been subjectively hotter
in summer or colder in winter.

I am referring to the "lower Alabama" portions of
Florida, not Miami, which is an ostensibly South
American outpost that nobody really understands.

When I lived there, Florida was a state that culturally become more
northern, the further south you went. Key West resembled Maine, Miami had a
lot in common with New York, but Jacksonville was definitely part of the old
south.

Interesting post. I wish I understood it better.

I've visited or lived in 47 of the 50 US states. Not having visited Alaska
and Hawaii is easy to explain, but Alabama was one of those things that just
sort of slipped through the cracks. Well, I flew over it 3 times. ;-)

I was stationed in both Alabama & Alaska in the '70s. I live in
North Central FLorida, were T.S. Fay has been parked for days. The
winds took out my electricity for a little under 20 hours. yet it only
reached 77 F and 59% humidity with the house closed up.

A lot of Australia's wealth used to be exported to the UK by means other

countries through the holdings of US corporations. The US has even
imposed dictators on countries that had the temerity to object, just ask

A lot of them left England to get away from the people who were still
putting buffoons into governors offices to control their lives.

England was an ocean away. Other states can be driven to, and I have

It was called 'trade'.

The British Empire was built on trade, not military occupation. And no, we wouldn't
consider dealing in slaves 'trade' these days. In fact England was amongst the first
countries to outlaw it.

To give you an idea of the size of the problem in
Australia, if you know his telephone number, you can go to
http://www.broadbandchoice.com.au, enter his telephone numberand you will
find a list of all(?) the ISPs that can service that number. Broadband
services in Australia are just network connections.

Just like here then.

Then there is still the issue of "whack-amole"(aussie equivalent?) on

As to NNTP, if you find that you are dealing with telstra, GOOD LUCK.
It is very reluctant to do anything until large proprtions of its

Well, like I said, I have some experience in these matters. I learnt from

Congratulations, Graham. Your strategy with Phil seems
to be working. Even though these are early days, and
he has made no posts to this, his home group, he *has*

someone doesn't put up with it. Well, it's just too bad for you, Missy,
and you really need to seek help for your dog shit fetish.

You seem highly informed about such medication, are you speaking from
personal experience .

And for the record I did not start anything, you came on here with your
cross-posted crap, and started to bang your little drum.
My original comments where not directed at you, so mind your own fuck'in
business.
