Don't forget that Israel essentially *stole* the land off
the Palestinians !

No, 'Israel' didn't exist until the land had been appropriated by
Britain and its allies. It seemed like a good idea at the time, no
doubt, because of the anti-Semitism, pogroms etc.

I have to laugh at that claim,as the Al-Aqsa Mosque is built on the JEWISH
temple mount.
Jews lived in Israel long before any Arabs came along.
Before any Arabs came along you think ? What planet did this happen on pray ?

Thousands of years before.
It was called Palestine them !

....and you are as ignorant as they come. I happen to live in Taiwan.

Try telling that to the 23+ million Taiwanese who are staring at 600
missles (and growing) pointed at them. Taiwan is extremely important
to the mainland, strategically, historically, and culturally. Because
of the 2008 olympics, I don't believe this invasion will take place
until after that time (that was President Chen's leverage -- which he
has now lost, due to not getting a majority in the legislative election
in December).

Shortly after 2008, however, I would expect to see China invade Taiwan.

Again, the U.S. is NOT in the position of "ALLOWING" Taiwan to get
nuclear warheads. If progress is made towards that goal, China WILL
invade Taiwan BEFORE 2008.

You seriously underestimate the Chinese commitment to the "one-China
policy".

Uhh....China will go to war if Taiwan simply declares official
independence -- let alone getting nuclear warheads.

The U.S. is UNABLE to "allow" this to happen. That, as we say, is an
empty threat.

I'm still laughing over that one! Thanks, Keith!!

You frappin' 'tard, China will off Kim first. China isn't about to go to
war with anyone.

Absolutely true, they're too busy enjoying the spoils of capitalism.

Soon enough, they plan to invade Taiwan.
They are preparing militarily first.
Taiwan is not going to reunite with Red China voluntarily;they see the
example of what happened to Hong Kong.

(Maybe if Red China has true free elections.Fat chance)

Well, I was reporting on what the UN document said.
Evidently the UN wishes to say that States too can commit crimes. There is no carte blanche just because one is a state.

So, what constitutes a legitimate government, one that can claim a
right of national sovereignty and have a vote at the UN? A monarchy? A
dictatorship? A never-elected communist-party machine? A puppet of
another state?

It would be difficult to get the UN to tighten up the definition, as
most of the votes would have to come from governments that would
disqualify themselves.

If I was a cop with 6000 brats marching on me throwing rocks and

Right.

And Hitler was elected to office by the Germans.

So what?

Maybe you can find a Biblical passage supporting your warped views.

Since you obviously don't, why should we? OTOH, we'll survive. You'll let

IMO,Europe's next big challenge is the non-integrating Islamic immigrants.

Because you're trying to "install" a system that the citizens of
Iraq might or might not want, against their will, killing people
in the process.

Because the rest of the world is sick and tired of the US being
self-appointed nanny to the world. A nanny with big guns, I
might mention.

Need more?

Because it interfered with their profitable contracts with the tyrannies.
Because they are envious of the US,and despise us for our successes.
They hate it that we had to free them from Hitler and keep them free from
the USSR.
Because they have far too many socialists.

I've also heard that Kennedy shot himself while no one was looking.
