PAL??? Belling Lee?

IEC 169-2
I found "IEC 60169-2" on
http://www.itwissen.info/definition/lexikon/Antennenstecker-antenna-connector.html
(The text is German, though).

Another search for "IEC 60169-2" led here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEC_169-2#Belling-Lee

So, "Belling-Lee", as others pointed out, would be correct.

Looks like someone put on the CRANKYPANTS this morning.

I note that all subsequent RF connectors were designed to connect the
shield first.

Well, lets see what Google can offer. Searching for DE9, I get
70,100,000 hits, while DB9 returns 8,830,000 hits. So about 12% are
clueless.

Actually, it should be DE9S or DE9P, but that's being picky.
What would you call a connector the same size as a DE9, but has 15 pins? The
one used for video output from PCs.

What's the name of the plugs in USA?

It seems that USA televisions only use F Type connectors.

My JVC came with one of these for the antenna connection. I believe its
called an N connector. MCM sells adapters, N to F connector, so does Radio
Shack.

This is a 'N' connector:

http://nocat.net/images/connectors/N.jpg

They are used for higher power & frequencies than what he posted, and
are not compatible. They were used at 4 GHz on early C-band satellite
LNAs as well as a lot of commercial and military communications
equipment.

They are constant impedance, and come in 50 and 75 ohm versions. A
50 ohm plug will damage a 75 ohm jack, due to the different diameters of
the center conductor.
