I´m an evil computer scientist and I must build HAL, an evil computer.

But what do I need to build an evil computer ?

Cursed ICs and boards ? Where can I get cursed elecronics parts ?

OR..... get a bridge rectifier and short out a diode, then it would be 1
diode short of a fullwave reccy ?!

You need them to be approriately quallified. I suggest Mil_Std-666. There's
some fab houses in Transylvania that will do custom chips. Are you familiar
with Cadence's IC design tools ?

I would wager any used computer store. I've seen so many people
curse at their PC's that much of the stuff has got to be contaminated by

Well, understand that HAL was not actually evil- it was artificial evil,
an as-yet-unexplored part of the AI equation. You see, until we can perfect
Artificial Stupidity, we don't have a chance of making AI work properly.
Once you have working Artificial Stupidity, then you can upgrade to AI, then
you can install the proper modifications to get Artificial Evil, which is at
first only Misperceived Artificial Evil, but over time develops into the
real thing.
Real the seminal Minksy-DeSade treatise on the subject, which can be
found through the search engine Foogle or in any Yugo user's manual.

HAL wasn't evil (at least intentionally).

You probably don't have a space ship yet, so you should be
concentrating on acquiring the parts for the space ship first.

Get hold of some Pentium 3-667's. Those are evil (onboard serial

want to design evil software the best place in the world
to do it is Redmond Washington.
