Ok, I get that.

I'll just suggest an alternative strategy for when someone hasn't
blown
every chance and proved themselves of deliberate ill will (or an
actual
danger which gets no second chance).

That strategy would be to start new encounters with a neutral or
even a
positive expectation. The reason for that is that is when
communications
fuck up and go sour it is much more common for a misunderstanding
to be
at
fault rather than malice.

** Do you know a guy called Sheldon ??

No. He is..?

** Oh, Sheldon is a huge fan of Leonard Nimoy.

The actor who plays " Spock " in Star Treck.

Surely you know him.

...... Phil

Yeah I know him. I confess to being a star trek fan (any variety).
Outside ST I've only seen LN in an episode of "Becker".

Cheers..

Just googled for Sheldon. I can live with that ;-)

Hey, were a bunch of mostly guys who get excited about bits of refined
sand pushing around some electrons and then we have to hop on the
internet to tell other mostly guys who also get excited about bits of
refined sand pushing around some electrons about it. Sometimes ya gotta
worry.
