Surely you jest!^)

This MARK buffoon has proven himself to be no challenge and has
ceased to interest me.

His spurious, amateurish attempts at insults are merely pleas for
attention which I will no longer give him. RGVAC's a nice group,
though, lots of friendly folks...

hey just to bring this kind of back on-topic, I needed an emergency
repair on a Robotron (welding) controller, so I got to go in the "back
room" at Welding Technology Corp. today. They are the company that
virtually owns the resistance welding industry these days, having
bought Medar, Robotron (well, part of robotron), and Technitron. I
felt like a kid in a candy store :)

Anyway.. I couldn't help but notice that their repair department has
SEVERAL Fluke 9010s and a couple 9100s with all the trimmings! I got
the sense that the 9010s got used fairly extensively, as there were
quite a few tapes with test routines scattered about for their various
products. If I had a little more 9010 knowledge, I would have
suggested that they use the software instead! Only one pod per
station, though.. as their 8-bit controllers used Z80s exclusively.

So anyway, for someone to suggest that sales of these units is a waste
of bandwidth and not a service to the community, I think is way
off-base. They are still a relevant, useful piece of equipment for
many companies and individuals.

Plus I can vouch for the fact that they are used in the aircraft maintenance
industry, both civilian and military
