Clarence,
OK you fill me in on the basic differences.
What union have you belonged to you?

The Australian Medical Association is a union for doctors.

Look at item four
"preserve and protect the political, legal and industrial interests of
medical practitioners."

Indeed. It seems that labor unions - or JC's purported perception of them -
operate vastly differently in Australia than here in the U.S.
we should be so lucky...

Bob

Bob,
what union or association looks after your interests
when you are on the job?

I don't know if you are genuinly interested to discuss
difference between American unions and Australian
unions, I am.

Your "we should be so lucky comment" what does
that mean. Maybe you are just having a wee slag
and a chuckle. Share the joke if there is one.

I ask again, what trade union or associations have you
been a member?

It is a professional society. It like the IEEE does not negociate for wages,
nor interfeer in the operation of the commercial companies the members work
for.

Clarence,

I am not now, nor have I ever been a member of any criminal organization.

My brother was forced to join a Union, and after three years was elected
Vice-president. Then he learned that he was only to implement the instructions
given to him by the "Professional staff." He eased himself out of the post.
Wants out. But if he quits the union, he looses his pension and his job!

Get a clue. A Labor union in the us is not a nice bunch of people.
Some years ago the union tried to organize barbers in Phoenix Arizona. Any
barber who refused to join was given a few sticks of dynamite, complete with
fuse. Which thrown through the front window of the shop would put them out of
business permanently.

Jim Doyle, who operated a steak house was approached by a union organizer, and
he also refused to join. The killed his chief, harassed his waitresses and
finally shot him as he was opening for business.

I do not have a soft spot for any Union activities.

There are other stories, many in fact. But you do not care, and do not
understand!

You realize that asking that question is like asking which Federal prison you
learned you trade in?

It is a low insult here!

No one here cares about your version of reality, or how you Unions work.

Yes, for the following reasons. Ratch

1) I don't agree that her lifestyle is normal.
2) I am disgusted that she has a sexual attraction to other women.
3) She unashamedly flaunts her perversion.
4) She has pride in being attracted to the same sex.
5) She advocates this behavior among others of her kind instead of
supressing it.

any kind of freeware can do that?
thanks!

I like to use Mahoney maps. Like Karaugh maps which are a specific
arrangement of a Venn diagram, a Mahoney map is just another arrangement.
The numbers within each block are the digital value of each term. Upper
case letters the variable and lower case letters are its inverse. I submit
a 4 and 5 variable map. There are two kinds. one has the order of ABCDE
and the other has the order EDCBA. Use the one that suits you. Make sure
you use a constant width font. Ratch

Following is a four term map:

ABCD
|-----b-----|-----B-----| |-----b-----|-----B-----|
Shouldn't this read b B B b?

No JC the Union rules in the US are not the rules that Unions follow
elsewhere. You really should look them up before you continue to argue with
those that have run across them. Try google and teamsters, or "Safeway,
california, strike" and you'll discover the way Unions tend to work inthe
US. I am not 100% anti union but I see that many if not all unions have
twisted the original purpose to gainning power over the owner. I have never
been and most likely never will be a union member, when I worked
construction I was the owner as a security I was in a non union company, and
presently I'm self employed as a programming consultant and customer help
services.

Charles

I did work, for a year or so, for a guy who services automation
systems on ships. None of us were union members, but he paid off the
union so that they'd let us go aboard and fix stuff without being
hassled. I'd go aboard, and some big dude would stand in my way and
say "who are you?" and I'd say "I'm with Bastin" and he'd grunt and
let me work. No pay, no play.

Or is it only American lives he's in favor of preserving? :-D
No, he's only interested in "protecting" people that haven't even
been born yet. The plain fact is, so-called "pro-lifers" are merely
in favor of taking away women's ownership of their own bodies.

Women are property, in the nazi dystopia.

And I've never understood homophobia - what the heck, for every
two guys that jump into the sack together, that's two more women
available to us straight guys!

But it's that same "we had to destroy the village to save it"
submentality. "I'm gonna save your soul if I have to burn you at
the stake to do it!"

Thanks,
Rich
