again. I *do* build continually, asswipe. only today I finished the
pcb for analogue's RFSM. The day before I wound the coils and yes, it
took me *all day* to wind just two coils and get them trimmed *and
trimmable* to 1uH a-piece because my eyes ain't so good and my hands
shake like autumn leaves in a gale without a stiff slug of Jack first.
Maybe everything comes easy to you. It's *never* done for me - ever.
But I keep on fighting. Plus I do have a very rich world-wide circle
of friends and we trust each other implicitly with our lives and
there's nothing we wouldn't do for each other. How many *true* friends
do you have, Bloggs?

non-electronics major like me can understand a basic analytic geometry
axiom that the optimum point is the point that the two lines
intersect! (I also have studied operation research well)

Data sheets are flying everywhere on the web in PDF format, just try
to search.

Just THINK a little before pre-judging people.

And yes, I still can't do a DC bias. But I'm close to it.

You might spend your time answering the question if it's that simple.
That way, you would be more appreciated. Do you know that feeling? To

The way you specified your question, '4.7 kohm load', doesn't give
enough information to justify an assumption that this load is AC-
coupled. That's why I, and others, assumed it was the collector
resistor. If it's AC-coupled, then the data you provided is
insufficient to produce a solution without yet more assumptions.

In fact, I don't know if it is so or not.
That's the question I copied and pasted here.
I'm coming to a conclusion to the subject and going to post what I
have found here. I think you will be able to comment on this and
correct me more accurately.

The load-line approach is out of favour at the moment, so your citing of
it could be seen as a bid by a tyro for specious superiority. SED is a
bit sensitive to that, due to recent experience.

I have not been lurking/posting here very long but I soon began to recognise
the general tone of Mr. Bloggs' posts. There seems to be an individual
much like him on every newsgroup. Fortunately the regulars soon learn to

load line is a graphical means of solving Kirchhoff's law in the collector
