distributors. Many of the distributors include links to data sheets.
Both sites offer the service for free.

Hope this helps.

over 9 million datasheets there for free download.
Says no datasheets available at this time. Call or email..

They probably got their database raped and plundered by some other
company.

Thanks.

Ah, now I notice the extra W. I just copied and pasted it into the

I pulled a couple of these NE646N Dolby chips off an old phenolic board,
mostly analog chips and transistors. Apparently from some Panasonic
audio equipment, whatever. I was surprised to see that a google search
turned up a site selling these for over $16, so I guess they're getting
kind of rare. Or is it that the newer chips don't require sooo much
support circuitry? I dunno. The board's crammed with a lotta caps,
transistors, etc.
**My local wholesale supplier has them listed at AUS$6.00 apiece (in one off
quantities). $16.00 (US?) seems a bit rich to me.

When you get the responce "no datasheets available at this time. Call
or email.." from www.sierraic.com
That means they have no datasheet on that part.
Not that they have no datasheets.

The cost is the Dolby IP fees.

TLC555 monostable. It's not for eggs...it's a photographic application. I
know I can build a much better one with a microcontroller! But 5% accuracy
is quite sufficient in this application.

Thanks!

Probably less than a few percent for a low-leakage aluminum
electrolytic over that range.

Normal leakage types, the leakage current will change by a factor of
3.

And NOT under test equipment, where it should be. Duh.
Looks like he is targetting a different market? Nobody in the electronics
industry would give it a second thought, but your average consumer would
probably think it was a good buy.

Not necessarily -- wouldn't a RETI (return from interrupt) be more

I think you are confusing an initial 'low reserve' or 'no reserve'
with the final auction bid.

This is supposed to attract your interest.

The closest you could come to an auction 'price' is the option to 'buy
now', available on some auctions.

If you think that $8.99 is a ridiculous shipping charge, then you
haven't used the post office, or paid a Fed Ex bill lately.

An item like this probably won't attract more than 1 or 2 bids.

It's under 1 pound, so it would ship for $3.85 by Priority Mail.
The USPS supplies the box, so there's no cost there.
You can print the label at home and drop it in a mailbox, so "waiting in
line at the post office" is no excuse either.

Of course, a total cost of $10 for a cheapie DMM is not so bad.
I've seen them for as low as $4, but that's unusual.

If you had read the acution which has been deleted, you would have seen
that this is a buy it now for 99 cents.

And the shipping charges for a small, light package isn't that much.
However I saw the local news piece which said that this particular time
of year, the sky is the limit on shipping charges.

So if postage is $4, the meter is being flogged for 6$, delivered.

.....and still attracting attention.

This one might really heat up towards the end of the auction,
stay tuned.

Or search for item number 3861303485
Looks like early tomorrow morning this auction will end. I think it's
gonna be well over a couple hundred dollars. Well over. hard to say
when a lotta bidders get bidding. It's only up to $66 this evening, but
I know that'll change. Big time.

Hi,

I don't know if this is the right NG to ask the following. If not, I
apologize.

I recently bought an inexpensive computer and the mobo has the S/PDIF
(Sony/Philips Digital Interface) pins/headers (port) that looks like an
internal pins for connecting the CDROM audio. The pins are labels as
follows:

Pin# Signal Name
1 SPDIF Out
2 VCC
3 Key
4 GND

I would like to connect this S/PDIF to a coaxial port (that uses an RCA
connector) on the back of my Home Theater System (HTS). AFAIK, an RCA
connecter only uses two wires. So, can anyone please tell me which pins
should I use from the S/PDIF port to make an S/PDIF <-> RCA cable that can
be used to connect the S/PDIF to the audio coaxial (RCA) port on my HTS?
S/PDIF and GND. However, the voltage level may be just right. Should
work.
