Any fun I can have with it? Anything useful?

The problem with Aluminum is…

Aluminum reacts with acidic food which causes the metal to leach into
the food. Because of that, you will find that most of the aluminum
cookware that is available is either coated with a non-stick layer or
is anodized.

Not much retarded Phil the pill Allison uncoated pans left out there.
I mean look what it did to your lame ass.

Nope. The FIRST implementations of 30 years ago were able to glean
into the food, and would scratch up shards that would end up in the
food. But it was never \"toxic\". That is a word reserved for things
that cause sickness and death. Teflon does no such thing.

google Polymer fume fever or Teflon Flu

The
manufacture of Teflon does, however, put \"forever molecules\" into our
water, and subsequently our bodies. You would likely test higher in
PFAS in your blood than a local river would. It is said that ALL
humans have it. It does not leave the body ever once it is in. But
that is from the water, not your cooking utensils.

Modern non-stick does no such thing.

You apparently do not keep up, especially when your brain got fried

Why don\'t you do some research for yourself?

You can mix (some of) it with epoxy and make a better thermal tranfer
medium out of it.

It wouldn\'t help much and could well make the thermal conductivity
worse.

You can make little flat packets of it, stitch them together on a
garment like dragon scales and make an armor that stops arrows and
knife blades.

Alumina powder? Stop a knife? How?

Alumina plate makes decent armor (for tanks):
<https://www.hindawi.com/journals/jceram/2014/618154/>
or humans:
<https://www.israel-catalog.com/body-armor/ballistic-body-armor-plates/level-iv-polyethylene-and-ceramic-alumina-plate-31-kg>

If you want flexibility, maybe corn starch.
\"Oobleck (Non-Newtonian fluid) vs bullets from a 1911 45 ACP and a
Ruger single 6\"
<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmpCacJs900>
Hard to tell if it worked, but if he adds something to deflect the
energy sideways, it should make tolerable armor.

Incidentally, the ancient Chinese use paper armor to stop arrows and
blades:

well alumina will work on plastic, but I suspect 0.1micron might
be quite suitable for polishing uncoated plastic lenses, windows,
and LCD screens. I haven\'t tried alumina for knife polishing yet.
There are knife makers who polish the beveled edge (grind) of the
blade to a mirror finish using 10,000 grit stones.

A bit more on plastic polishing. I used some of this stuff to polish
the clear plastic lens on two Fluke DVMs, some other similar
instrument, safety goggles, car headlight and several calculators. The
scratches and \"fogging\" were the result of me throwing the instruments
into my various toolboxes and bouncing them down the road. The loose
tools did an effective job of ruining the lenses. So, I bought some
Novus plastic polish on eBay:
<https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=novus+plastic+polish>
<https://www.novuspolish.com/plastic_clean_shine.html>
<https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=novus+plastic+polish>
The 3 flavors are quite different:
<https://www.novuspolish.com/store.html>
Polish 1 - Clean & Shine
Polish 2 - Fine Scratch Remover
Polish 3 - Heavy Scratch Remover
The ingredients are listed at:
<https://www.novuspolish.com/sds.html>
#1 contains no alumina, while #2 and #3 are 7-13% alumina. So, yes
alumina powder is used for polishing and scratch removal on plastics.
Unfortunately, there are no clues in the safety sheets as to the #grit
size.

It kinda looks like there\'s enough information on the SDS sheets to
mix your own polishing compound.

I\'ve also used Turtle Wax mildly abrasive automotive polishing
compound for cleaning up the paint on my car.

\"Aluminum Oxide Automotive Abrasives\"
<https://www.ferro.com/products/product-category/surface-finishing-and-cmp-materials/aluminum-oxide-based-polishing-compounds/aluminum-oxide-automotive-powders-and-polishes>
Note that these contain aluminum oxide.

So, why do all these products use alumina? Because it\'s cheap.

Incidentally, if you\'re thinking of trying some polishing or lens
cleaning, I suggest you practice with some junk plastic first. Maybe
read the instructions or watch some YouTube videos after your first
few attempts. It took me some practice to determine which product and
technique works best.
