Hi all!

Looking to buy a qty of TMS2516*, probably up to 500pcs, depending on
price - pulls okay, as long as they are not desoldered.

Let me know availability and price.

Thanks. Yours, Mark.

Mark, I trust you are aware that the TI part had a different pin-out
and/or ratings compared with 2716 if my memory hasn't got
corrupted in a quarter century!?
TMS2516 has same pinout as 2716 of other brands.
TMS2716 was a triple supply device like 2708.

For that qty it may be worth making up a replacement PCB with a surface mount eprom or flash chip to
emulate the 2516.

From vague memory, I think the TMS2516 was equivalent to others' 2716s as the TMS2716 had weird
supply voltage requirements

Or just user a more common EPROM such as the 2764. If you're serious
about keeping the equipment alive in the future, that's probably the
best way to go.

You may be able to synthesize a pair of sockets into an adapter with
that chip.
Most ot the pins are in the same location.

Hi, the TMS2516 is the same as a 2716, ie a drop in equvilent, not to be
confused with a TMS2716 which is a 3 rail device like the TMS2708.

I believe you've confused the TI 2716, which did have something
different, with the TI TMS2516, which was the equivalent to the 2716
from other Co's. I think the diff was that the Ti 2716 needed a
negative supply?
