**Most electricians simply use a hunk of 'yellow tongue', from tongue and
groove floorboards. Drill a hole in one end and away you go. Cheap and
cheerful. If you must spend money, pop down to your local electrical
wholesale outlet (John R Turk, et al) and pay money.

Just don't be a prick and steal the yellow tongue from your next building
site, God that shits me! One last sheet and no freaking tongue.
grrrrrr..........

Last time I was at the electrical supply shop they actually had strips of
yellow tongue for sale for this very purpose.

Long length of steel tape, rolled up inside a reel, used to pull wire or cable through a conduit.
You can roll out the snake as you push it into the conduit, wriggling it as you go. It will usually
turn corners and keep going until it emerges from the other end. There is a small loop
on the snake where you can tie the incoming wire. Then you can pull it all out again
with the wire or cable firmly attached.

In some places the snake is called a "fish tape".

Does that help?

Err, before you go chucking a tantrum at Falco and Budgie, ever given some
thought as to what Falco wanted the sparkie's snake for? Could very well
have been for pulling speaker cable, TV cable or alarm wiring through a wall
cavity. In which case the original post is not off topic. Not every
customer is happy with speaker cable running across the floor, especially
across traffic areas and doorways. Can be a potential trip hazard, not to
mention pig ugly.

Be nice now :)

Cheers,

** So the Rutmaniac psychopath has no idea what my post is even about.

Nothing new in that.
