Some basic things we agree on, much of my financial knowledge comes
from reading stuff written by (or ordered written by) George Soros,

Soros,a convicted felon;

So?
That financial knowledge from Soros could land you in jail,or make you a
felon also.

If you are a good electronics engineer, and go to jail for killing say
a Fields, does that make you a bad electronics engineer?
He does the thing every well, making money.
2 million he will not even notice, 2 billion he may.
So I'd say he got away with it.
If you read his book (Alchemy of Finance) you wil lsee this 'insider' game
all the time.
Someone must have wanted some money too ;-)

On a sunny day (Wed, 05 May 2004 00:32:53 GMT) it happened "Rich Grise"

All the patents from the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and STS projects
are public domain - wouldn't it make more sense to build one
of them?

Always the Pacifist,
Rich

Possible, does it come with a budget and detailed control electronics?
It will have to be done with your own money!
Cheap access to space is the reward for humanity!
Now starting to sound like Steve
JP
Actually, if I had that kind of money, I'd start looking for a
friendly country somewhere in the Himalayas and build a mass driver
up the side of a mountain.

Heck - it could possibly even be done in Hawaii - then again,
those mts are still active volcanoes, aren't they? That'd present
some engineering challenges, although there's a practically limitless
supply of geothermal energy to tap.

Cheers!
Rich

Yes, just plug up the volcano with the spacecraft, wait til the pressure
build up, and release the clamps ;-)
