I think it only had a gyro to stabilise it, controlling vanes in the rocket
outlet. It was a very simple system without any guidance system as such, it
was just aimed at London - quite a large target.

I can just remember being in Regent's park in London with my father when one
exploded. It must have been 1944, and I'd have been two years old.
