Speaking of not coloring sound, I built another headphone amp, (the
Objective 2) that I like very much. It's open source and a kit can be
purchased from JDS Labs. The amp, as near as I can tell, only
amplifies the input sound. It does not add any other noise that I can
hear. It runs off either two 9 volt batteries or a wall wart. I REALLY
like it.
