Hi,

I am trying to get my hands on a socket mounted Motorola mc68hc11a1 or
mc68hc11e1. I have a Sun Type 5c keyboard, bought for $1 at the Boeing
Surplus Store in Seattle two years ago (had a fun day there), for which
I'd like to build an adapter --schematic found on www.buzzard.org.uk--
to hook it up to my linux box.

I am in The Netherlands, haven't been able to find one here -- out of
stock and not current anymore.

Are there any gadgets/applicances or stuff where this chip was used in?

Thanks.

You can also use the A8 or E8 part too. All you need to do is set the
CONFIG register to match the variant you want. That disables the
subsections in the A8/E8 part that are not used in the A1/E1 variant.
The databook has a little code snippet that reconfigs the chip.
