Putin keeps threatening the use of Russia\'s nukes if western democracies continue to \"interfere\" with his campaign of mass murder in Ukraine.

The use of just one of them will likely unleash a whirlwind.

Sleep well America, knowing your frighteningly corrupt leaders are both stupid and asleep.

..... Phil

It all depends..
just got an email in German that all my accounts are hacked and they want ?? bitcoins in 72 hours to not do whatever.

Part of it in German:
<quote>
, Ich mache keine Fehler
<end quote>

I underlined the part where it says it needs the bitcoins for Ukrain.
Hope Putin nukes the shit out of him before the 73 hours have passed :)

German readers ?

I did some research and made some calls and now special forces are closing in on the sender.
Am still online :)
As to that war it was started with Biden, by Biden and his corrupt son, and is all about selling weapons.
I pointed somebody to this song by Bob Dylan:

With any luck, some Russian will smear Novichok in his underpants - much cheaper than a nuclear weapon, and fewer side-effects.

It\'s not as if Australia is any better off. Dutch politicians are rather less crooked, but they do have less to sell.

Singularly clever of them to persuade the Russian army to invade the Ukraine. It really motivated the Ukranians to buy tank busting shoulder launched anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles.

Of course if was all about selling weapons they\'d be selling more expensive weapons (like F35 fighters) to people who had a lot more money.

Australian\'s didn\'t like conscription being reintroduced to provide Australian cannon-fodder for Vietnam. My younger brother was born six weeks premature, six hours before he would have become vulnerable to being called up. Only about 10% of the Australian\'s called up were judged fit enough to be worth conscripting unless they were doctors or dentists or civil engineers (as he was).

In fact I\'d have to have the kind of deeply defective brain that makes Cursitor Doom an addict to fatuous nonsense. The more fatuous the nonsense, the more avid his enthusiasm.

She got banned from Fox News for pushing such absurd nonsense that even Fox News had to get shot of her.

You do start getting older as soon as you are conceived - being born doesn\'t make any difference to that. Aging does reliably end in death, but you can\'t be said to be dying until the problem that eventually kills you has become obvious enough to notice.

<snipped more idiocy>

> I still get the impression you must have some reason to sing along with Aussies rulers.

I don\'t. I agree with them when they get stuff right, which doesn\'t happen all that often. \"All the way with LBJ\" went down better with some Australian politicians than it did with the country as a whole. Mark Rutte is a much better politician than any of the prime ministers we\'ve had since Rutte came to power.

Julia Gillard - who was in power from 2010 to 2013 - might have been in the same league, but Kevin Rudd - who replaced her as leader of the Labor Party, promptly lost the next election to the appalling Tony Abbott, who lasted for almost two years 2013 to 2015 until his party realised what a cretin he was and replaced him by Malcom Turnbull, who was a whole lot better and consequently unacceptable to the right wing of the Liberal Party and only lasted from 2015 to 2018, when he got replaced by Scott Morrison - Scottie from Marketing - who been prime minister since then, and has not done anything positive enough to get himself kicked out. He did promise to install a Federal Independent Commission Against Corruption at the last election, but had to propose such a toothless authority that he couldn\'t get anybody in the Senate to vote for it - anything with any real power to root out corruption would have put most of his cabinet into prison. We\'ve got an election coming up in a couple of weeks, and he will lose if the polls are to be relied on (which they aren\'t).

Not necessarily. Aircraft manufacturers tend to make both military and civil aircraft. The skills are much the same, even if the aircraft aren\'t.

Snake oil, as is \'stealth\' I can detect the things here in many ways.

But fast enough to let you shoot it down?

Depends on the situation and weapon, sure if you have the laser gun you just burn a hole, in the jet and / or the pilot.

Does any such \"laser gun\" actually exist? The Americans did put a high power laser into fairly big freight-carrying aircraft, but it didn\'t work well enough to become any kind of weapon system.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airborne_Laser

If it is not supersonic any missile that can detect its heat signature or what it looks like (object recognision) will do.

That\'s why airfields have local radar. You\'d better think that one out again. \"Low and slow\" just means not supersonic.

Planes that are set up for terrain-following have to have control systems that don\'t shake their pilots to death.

The usual sort of puff for some very leading edge research that is a long way from any practical application.

I worked in Cambridge from 1983 to 1993, and lots of university researchers were convinced that their research would solve our practical problems.

We were rather better at solving their practical problems (which were frequently trivial) than they were at solving ours (which tended to be rather more complicated than they\'d imagined).

Right the Military Industrial Complex.

Not necessarily. Aircraft manufacturers tend to make both military and civil aircraft. The skills are much the same, even if the
aircraft aren\'t.

The Americans did put a high power laser into fairly big freight-carrying aircraft,
but it didn\'t work well enough to become any kind of weapon system.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airborne_Laser

Basically all you need is to blind the pilot
Sure they may have laser glasses that should block part of the spectrum, but there are many lasers in the visible with high power.
There is a history of incidents of people shining lasers at civilian aircraft (and also cars) causing vision problems experienced by the pilots.
Those are mostly just 1 W or so lasers , you can get kW on ebay.

If it is not supersonic any missile that can detect its heat signature or what it looks like (object recognision) will do.
Here they never fly fast but low and slow, any kid with a slingshot next to where they land will do.
Start a swarm of 50 dollar drones in the takeoff path, local agent is all you need.

That\'s why airfields have local radar. You\'d better think that one out again. \"Low and slow\" just means not supersonic.

You\'d better get here and see for yurself, I was next to the planes taking off here, there is a parking place there

Planes that are set up for terrain-following have to have control systems that don\'t shake their pilots to death.

Grow up Jan! Not that there\'s much chance that you could.

Yes at my age I won\'t get any younger, not with US snake oil either.

Medical science isn\'t exclusively American. Some of it does work, but undoing the effects of aging doesn\'t seem to be one of
the tricks that it has mastered yet.

Depends: skin cells made 30 years younger:

The usual sort of puff for some very leading edge research that is a long way from any practical application.

I worked in Cambridge from 1983 to 1993, and lots of university researchers were convinced that their research would solve our
practical problems.

We were rather better at solving their practical problems (which were frequently trivial) than they were at solving ours (which
tended to be rather more complicated than they\'d imagined).

Many things are simple, so was the steam engine, the diesel engine and the rocket engine
Took a while though

As with every such video on Fox, it\'s like a broken record, the vast
majority of regular Fox viewer comments want us to stay out of the
Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Fox News is designed to appeal to gullilble idiots. That\'s Murdoch\'s business model

> Not mentioning other channels because liberals all over the world are head over heels in love with neocons.

By \"liberals\" John Doe presumably means the majority who aren\'t gullible idiots. Actual neo-conservatives were a bunch of dangerous clowns

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism

and nobody sane regrets their departure. The Iraq disaster discredited them with people who could think, who do seem to be a majority of the population. John Doe isn\'t one of them.

There aren\'t actually any around for anybody to fall in love with. They are as mythical as John Doe\'s \"cannibal leftists\". I didn\'t think much of them when the were active in Iraq, some twenty years ago, and I still think they were a bunch of half-wits.

** Naturally - since Fox viewers all hate Biden and the looney Dems.
But there is near zero support for the Russians.

** Staying out of all foreign wars is a broken record for small minded Yanks .

Others however can see disaster waits down that narrow path.

Ironically... Those who refer to us Americans as \"Yanks\" bash us for being
IN wars. If you want us to do your fighting for you, you definitely should
not be insulting us. But apparently insult is the Australian way.

If Ukraine is so important... Go get \'em Tiger.

Phil\'s conversations are entertaining as watching The Fifth Element (1997)
alien trying to keep it together in his human skin...

** Aussies have fully supported US forces in many wars:
Throughout WW2, in Korea, in Vietnam and Afghanistan.
Our military, navy and airmen carry out training with US ones.
We buy & fly US made aircraft, F18s and C130s among others.
Recently we signed a mutual security pact:

As one might expect from a complete jerk.

John Doe believes in \"cannibal leftists\" and \"neocons\".

The former seem to be entirely a figment of his demented imagination.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism

did actually exist, once. It came to prominence in the US when they engineered the disastrous invasion of Iraq.

I didn\'t think much of them at the time, and everybody sane now shares that opinion.

John Doe isn\'t remotely sane.

<snipped the rest of his recycled abuse. It was fatuous nonsense when he first posted it, and it is just as fatuous now>

I can\'t see any follow-up comments actually in support of the war in
Ukraine. It seems incredible how our so-called \"leaders\" can be so out
of whack with our legitimate interests and keep getting away with it.
We just go from one futile, ruinously-expensive foreign entanglement
to the next to the next to the next. Then as soon as a President comes
along who genuinely tries to put a stop to this insanity, \'they\' - the
deep state/shadow government - find a way to get rid of him and
install yet another of their stooges in his place and it\'s straight
back to business as usual. :( :( :(
