Tachi X570 has only 1 gigabit ethernetport kinda disappointi

No shit.

Zero known facts blather.

I'd expect that a PC with a lot of ports will be a very inefficient
router.

no shit. Not optimized. Still not incapable for some dope's home
network.

The 55TB claim is what is lame. 55TB of WHAT?

It is probably all porn.

I have 300 hi res movies and at an avg of 2 -4 GB each, they do not
even come close to that much.

He must have ripped off the film industry grabbing 35GB copies of
movies ripped from bluray dvds. Some are even bigger than that.

The boy is a true idiot.

Top scientists do not have or need 55TB at home storage.

LOL NOW THE MONKEY COMES OUT OF THE SLEAVE !

YOU JUST JEALOUS OUT MY 55 TB DICK CONSUMPTION !

YOU SUCH A TINY LITTLE DATA USER ! LOL.

HAHAHAHAHA.

Bye,
Skybuck.

This year I will probably buy a new computer, I will probably wait for the 16 core ryzen, I've wait 13 years to buy a new computer and somebody I know thinks I should wait 2 more months to get the 16 core part lol.

For now I will investigate motherboards somewhat better to see which motherboard can actually power such a 16 core beast.

I am kinda a fan of ASRock though I never used their motherboards for a long period, but what I like about their boards is "overheat" protection which some claim every motherboard has but I am not so sure about that.

Anyway their Tachi X570 motherboard and especially the RGB looks very good/amazing !

But there is one thing that truely disappoints me a lot and that's two things actually:

1. First of all it only has 1 ethernet port ?! WTF where they thinking ?! How the fuck do I connect my old computer and new computer AND INTERNET ?! without having to use some fucking complex router crap ?! Big problem there.

2. But what is even worse is it's only 1 gigabit ethernet ?! Again WTF ?!
How the fuck I am supposed to transfer my 50 terrabyte of data from this new computer to my future computer in say 5 or 10 years when I might buy another one if I am still alive ?! HOLYFUCK ?!

Let's compute how long that would take with just 1 gigabit.

1 gigabit is roughly

1.000.000.000 / 10 = 100.000.000 byte transfer per second.

50 estimated terrabyte usage is:

54.975.581.388.800 bytes / 100.000.000 = 549756 seconds

549756 / 60 = 9162 minutes / 60 = 153 hours / 24 = 6.4 days !

HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

If this were 10 gigabit ethernet then at least it would speed up 10 fold.

So then less of a day of transferring data.

This is very painfull.

Either it needs an extra ethernet card which could then get in the way of airflow and produce additional heat ?!

Also this board consumes the most watt/power, also little bit disappointed by that:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6ytKqN8j8A

Guy in video is hoping for an "ultimate tachi" addition.

So do I because this motherboard is simply not future proof.

FUCK.

Bye,
Skybuck.

If the ethernet were infinitely fast, the transfer rate will be
limited by hard drive and OS and file structure speed on both ends.

Why not use an ethernet router? You will likely need a lot of ports.
I'd expect that a PC with a lot of ports will be a very inefficient

HOLY FUCK.

WHY MAKE IT MORE COMPLEX THEN JUST PEER 2 PEER.

Let me know if you know of any routers that can handle 10 GBe !

Let me know their prices too !

Dumbfuck... It is GbE Giga bit Ethernet, Not Giga Byte whatever
lower case e is.

It does not get more stupid than the SkyTard posting.

In this group, you simply need to be ignored, just like you ignore
the FACT that your posts have NOTHING to do with this group.

A nice, fast moving baseball bat should "shake hands" with your

It was a poke at your stupidity. It is called GbE

Mine: GbE
Giga bit Ethernet

Yours: GBe
Open your eyes, if you want to actually claim to be part of a
technical realm. Yours does not exist.

NOT Giga Byte ethernet

If you're writing out 55TB on your home PC, then you are likely using
cheap and slow spinning rust disks, to which you'll be writing to one or
no more than a handful concurrently anyway. The network won't be the
bottleneck here at 1Gbps.

There is no benefit in 10GbE even in most enterprise situations,
although you can probably expect it to be become commonplace in consumer
gear because of pissing contests and economies of scale. It's still
mostly pointless and needlessly power-hungry over copper.

I partially agree with this.

However here is a question for you:

Do believe harddisks will still be produced and/or sold 10 years from now ? ;)

Also what do you believe, think or guess the price will be of an nvvme drive or what ever the fuck have you with these new solid state drives. in 10 year or so ? ;)

Who actually have been having data corruption issues since a few days... check reddit.... hopefully in 10 years for now that a thing of the past :)

It could very well be that I will replace that 40 TB by some 100 TB solid state drive by then...

And even 10 GbE will be a shamefully slow technology lol but still 10's better than gigabit...

Planning for the future baby ! =D (Apperently not a strong point of many people on this PLANET LOL.)

Bye,
Skybuck.

In this video the guy is talking about how to get 10 GbE on the cheap:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuyuS04lD4o

And then funny and weird thing the guy says is that the

X470 Tachi Ultimate motherboard (so the previous generation) does have 10 GbE.

HOLYFUCK, HOLYSHIT.

So now the new one X570 Tachi "normal" edition doesn't ! HAHAHA I laugh at ASRock right now... such a scam as far as I am concerned.

Next generation number should always be better than previous generation number and not worse.

IS THAT WEIRD OR WHAT ?!

Let me know your thoughts on this new X-FILES EPISODE ! =D

Bye,
Skybuck.
