Syd Electronic Component Engineer wtd

Hi Alan,

Are you interested in the postion? - I haven't seen your express for
interest directly....only debate on this ng?
All details are by expressed interest only.

I am consulting for another company (over 50 staff and going for over 20
years in Australia).

While your details ABN may be correct with CES.... you assumption of the
company of employment is definely incorrect!

For further details - please email me directly as I have asked.

Joe,

no offense intended here, but it is my experience that companies who are
unwilling to stipulate a salary range either intend to offer well under
the
market rate or don't have a clue what the market range is in the first
place.

If you want good candidates then you have to demonstrate that potential
applicants aren't wasting their time.

A quick ABR website search shows Custom Electronic Solutions to be a sole
trader business.
ABN is 53 965 131 587 and not registered for the GST which means the
business can only have a maximum annual turnover of $50,000.

http://www.abr.business.gov.au/(4rbuua55rejjmmbvnpzvlsn3)/search.aspx?SearchRequest=53%2b965%2b131%2b587%5eAll%2c1%2c0%2c0%2c0%2c0%2c1%2c0%2c0%2c0%2c0%2c0%2c0%2c0%2c0%2cTypical%2c&StartSearch=True

Doesn't leave much for wages, superannuation etc.unless the business is
about to undergo a major restructuring.

IMHO no self respecting engineer is going to work full-time for under $50k
/ year.

Hello..............

There is no need for this shite - please.

Phil may well be abrasive to many people (some deservedly others not)
but an idiot - NOT from where I stand. I don't know him personally but
I can say that all the tech queries i've asked of him have been
answered correctly and with enough supporting evidence that I've been
able to resolve my problem.

Just out of curiosity - what skills are you looking for????? I have
been a bench tech for over ten years and my network of contacts (read
Brains trust) is largely aged in the 45 - 65 year range. These are
guys that really had to learn their craft without email, internet, or
factory support not like our apprentices of today who have become
little more than IC Jockeys.

I'm not the ng police and wont speak to this topic again. I think it's
a bit stiff that you make medical diagnosis and career assesment of a
fellow ng member in response to his asking a couple of pretty fair
questions.

In hindsight if this whole thing was just trolling then you just
landed a big fat snapper - well done.

I think Joe was looking for a FAE - field applications engineer.
Someone with plenty of knoweldge of micros
especially Philips 8051's and their newer lpc2000 (arm7) chips.

Provide support to customers and to their sales guys.

A lot of businesses seem incredibly stupid in that regard in
ignoring people with lots of experiance.

Attitude seems to be that they would have to pay the older people more ,
they can't be moulded to fit the organisation and so on.

** No one in their right mind should go near one Joseph Goldburg or any
fake job offer he is pretending to make.

He has just given all here a convincing demonstration of his lack of
credibility:

1. Using an unregistered business name.

2. Acting illegally as a recruiting agent for an anonymous third party.

3. Refusing to answer direct questions on any of the above.

= bad news

Sounds suspiciously like this one:

Dave :)

Looks like this engineer is also required to correct spelling/proofread! I know we all do
it in postings but an advert should be more carefully checked!

Much to my surprise, I'm supporting Phil on this one. What an absurd
attitude. You owe all sensible (and some of them are fifties and beyond) in
this ng an apology. What has age got to do with being a nobody? I'm in my
sixties. So there! It doesn't make me a nobody, as you would well know if you
knew me. You'll get to your fifties and beyond one day - if you're lucky.
Besides, that was pleasantly mild for Phil; and he makes a valid point. If you
want to refute it, why not do it logically?
