Hi,

Can anyone tell me what the SMD device code M51
represents? It isn't in my reasonably new 'Semicon Index'
although it is fitted in an 8 - 10 year-old car radio.

TIA - Joe

for a hint I have also from a radio emitter / receiver the
chips in so8 package with marking M61. for the receiver
and FL-A (datecode 9853) for the transmitter.
there is chance that the device with marking M51 may be from
the same manufacturer , probably in Asia because my module
is fro a cheap gadget
MB.

Also try posting to sci.electronics.repair. My recent question
(cross-posted to both groups) about SMD markings was answered there, not
here.

Hi,

Thanks Matthieu and Walter. Under better lighting it
turned out to be marked M5, not M51 - a Philips BSR57 JFET.

Cheers - Joe
