Hi Don,

Don't stress about "Mr Grumpy" we all know they are out there and that
he is not going to be the last.

I've found that most customers don't understand that a lot of our
business practices (ordering, freight, manufacturing delays, etc) are
largely out of our hands - and they dont want to know.

Thankfully, most are reasonable and understanding when an unforseen
problem comes up and a solution can be arranged other wise we would
have bigger ulcers and higher doses of medication prescribed in order
to handle the Grumpies.

The trick is to not get tarnished by the "Grumpies". I've had people
come into the workshop that I thought were going to be "Grumpies" just
based on first impressions - They've turned out to be some of my best
customers. While some others started with great first impressions then
turned into life lessons for no reason within my control.

The link to your feedback page backs up the excellent reputation you
have developed in the trade.

Top posting for a reason. I read this thread and responded before I realised
that there was a very long thread posted previously that I had missed, as I was
away for a week.

You have responded to my request several times Don.
You did give me reason for the delay.
You offer me refund ONCE.
Then you minion INSULT me.

Instead of looking at all the evidence and respond appropriately,
you seems to disregard the reason of my complaint, which is the
insult I get.

You may have some testimonial, but I believe you also get
comnplaints.
Yes, you cannot please everybody, but then again, you do not have to
insult them.

Instead of fixing the problem, you are taking the easy way out by
refunding my money. That is cowardly. By burying your head in the
sand, you will not make the problem go away.

I still have something to complain about. Your company make me waste
one month of my time waiting for this, then out of the blue, you
quit.

Through all my posts, I never put my blame to you personally,
instead, I put the blame where it should be, your minion.
However, instead of trying to patch this rocky relationship, you burn
the bridge.

Perhaps it was the angry email faces you kept sending her in emails every three
or 4 days as a reminder that you were still waiting, when you decided to ignore
her lengthy apologies, and explanations completely.

Even the messages you posted to the aus.electronics group is an extension of
this, you seem to think it will hurry up something that is beyond our control,
and that we have apologized for, and offered a refund. We can't do anything else
but apologize and offer a refund, or you wait for the item. We told you when it
was sent, and when you should expect it's arrival.

So we apologize, we explain, we offer a refund.
You can wait for the product, or take the refund. There isn't other options I'm
afraid. As it is, you have forced me into the refund option, so I'm sure you
will end up with the product for nothing. I hope this will at least make you happy.

What did you expect her to do? Shut up and simply take it? I wouldn't have!
I do value my customers very highly, but I would only put up with so much of the
sort of ongoing email dribble that you tried on us.

I send ONE emoticon (sad face) email to her.
In all I send TWO emails to enquiry about my order.
My first enquiry about the delivery is 14 days since I ordered and
paid for the item.
My second enquiry is 6 days after that.
The rest of the emails is in regards to the replies I received.

If you maintain that I did send dribbles every three or four days,
PROVE it!

Otherwise, all your response will be just a lie and you are just
trying to cover up on your own problems. By attacking me, you have
shown that you do not value your customer much.

Yes, I did let out some of my fumes with my first post, however,

- How was I to know that you are on holiday, so you cannot handle
my emails?

- How was I to know that you are not the one who ask Sharon to
insult me in the first place?

- Why should I not enquiry about the state of my order?

- If you value your customer so highly, why do you let someone who
work for you, insult your customer and get away with it?

- Why do you maintain that I did the damage in the relationship,
where the fiasco started with YOUR side insulting me?

Sir, your customer complaint handling have much to be desired.
I maintain my opinion of your service

I don't think I've ever actually bought anything from you, but I've
certainly been impressed with your politeness and eagerness to provide
information.
Rest assured that if I do ever get the time to need something you
sell, I won't hesitate to order it from you. This little discussion
hasn't changed my perception of you or Dontronics at all.

So, some (potential customers) are all still waiting - you accused Darwin of
sending numerous e-mails which is what prompted your staff member to react,
and Darwin claims only two messages were sent. Now, either Darwin or you
are lying, and by the sound of your response above I suspect it may be you
that is now back peddling.....

Darwin has publicly apologised for the contents of his (TWO) messages, now
maybe it is time for you to either provide the proof that he sent numerous
messages, or for you to also apologise for accusing him of sending numerous
messages AND Sharon apologise for the contents of her replies.

And, before anyone jumps in and says that Don hasn't made any such claims:

According to Darwin, the "lengthy apology, and explanation" received after
his first enquiry was:

"Sorry, our supplier is closed
for Chinese New Year and your order have not been shipped yet. We
will get on to it though.."

Hmm, lengthy apology?????

Then, to his SECOND message he gets:

"I hope that your continuing emails to me letting me know how you
are feeling about something that I explained was beyond our
knowledge or control, is helping to make you feel better, as I see
no other purpose, unless you wish to make me personally feel
worse."

Sorry Don, but if *I* was to receive such a sarcastic reply to a routine
SECOND enquiry about an item I had on order, my response back would
certainly not have been as polite or apologetic as Darwin claims his reply
to this was.

Now, please, I beg you to prove me (and Darwin) wrong. If you can show that
the above reply from Sharon was prompted by Darwin sending "emails every
three or 4 days as a reminder", then *I* will also publicly apologise for
this posting and promptly shut the hell up!!

Over to you. Oh, details on how you can reply by private e-mail are
contained in the signature, just in case this is wanted.
