Curriculum
The 2-day technical course will cover tradeoffs between IC and
software based implementations of speech recognition, an overview of
available technologies, and will provide examples and benefits from
implementing a speech user interface. Substantial time will be spent
learning tools and creating a prototype products. All course
participants will create their own custom prototypes during the
seminar, and should arrive with ideas for product prototypes.
Specific topics covered will include:
ˇ Overview and installation of tools
ˇ Creating speech recognition sets with Sensory's Quick T2SI
ˇ Creating music & speech synthesis
ˇ Using the Phyton development environment for software coding and
debugging
ˇ Application & hardware concepts and guidelines
ˇ Building a prototype

Attendee Profile and Requirements
Attendees should have responsibility for product design, and be
experienced with coding in C language. Previous knowledge/experience
with hardware design, in-circuit emulation, and user interface
application design will help. Attendees must bring a Windows laptop
PC, with 20MB free disk, CD ROM drive, and USB port.
