Now that calcium is magnetic we can look forward to many broken bones from
MRI scans.

A chemist, physicist, and a lawyer should be able to team up and wrest a
settlement from these guys.

That magnetic scam has been going on forever... and nobody cares.

Instead your government has even more magically figured out a way to
sue Gallup... because they don't like their poll numbers.

Unless they bought one, what standing do they have? What damages would they
claim? The cost of the unit they bought for the express purpose of suing?

Class action - sue on behalf of everyone who ever bought one.

Again, sue for what? Nope, not going to happen.

A class action suit on behalf of the gullible, with too much money?
I have a very liberal neigbor who is convinced that his Edenpure heater
puts out four times the heat of the $15 one I use, for the same
watthours.

Of course they would have to buy one. Fraud isn't just about damages.

Sure, fraud can be criminal but a civil court can only award damages. I hope
you're not suggesting that they go for damages because of the sleep lost
because the magnets traumatized their dog.

That wasn't specifically what I was suggesting, but anything that would
cause this company problems, make it more difficult for them to con
gullibles, would be worthwhile.

No, I couldn't stand the stench from all of those horse stalls that

Harrasment. That's a good use for our courts.

OK I've got a silly question, how the 'bleep' do they get the coil
around the pipe?

George H.

-------------------------------------

It doesn't even go all the way around the pipe. Comes with a flexible
saddle that only looks good from the front.

That was going to be my input, look at the third photo, it shows how
to clamp the coil around the pipe. But there is not enough detail to
really show what is happening.
Does the wire go half way around then turn 180* go almost all the way
around turn 180* and keep repeating?

Very poor ascii art attempt to show what I mean.
Basically shows how the wire turns back 180* to
create an opening to slip over pipe.

I may have misspoke.

Looks like it does form a full coil.

Still is scam.

Ahh OK... someone has to wire up the silly connector.
There are so many scams out there it's hard to get to concerned about
any one in particular. I think my fav is the vintage express... which
I may be posted before.

(We do some NMR stuff, so the mix of science fact and then fiction is
a hoot.)

Yep. Home installation is *much* easier
that way and the functionality doesn't
really suffer because of it.

You don't understand how the legal system and lawyer scams work.
Class action.

Be great if it really worked.

I guess that is the basis for any con job. Look at how well religions
con their followers with the idea that you live forever if you say you
buy into their doctrine - and of course support them financially.
