My high school buddy plus Sydney Uni best mate \"Jim Prendergast\" owned one and often sang its praises.
I mention his name cos he moved to the USA, married a US gal ( Janice, his dental nurse) and enjoyed a long career in electronics.
Known as \" E. James Prendergast\" he worked for AT&T, DuPont & Motorola in management roles.

Nikita Khruschev doesn\'t seem to have been all that crazy. He wasn\'t crazy enough to keep Leonid Brezhnev happy, but he famously denounced Stalin\'s \"cult of personality\".
He was crazy enough to have survived under Stalin - somebody saner would have opted for a less prominent role.

Not much. The Russians are still behaving like the Russians did 800
years ago. There is some peculiar isolation of Russia from
civilization.

The current exodus of the minority rational people is not making

The is some peculiar isolation between John Larkin\'s historical ideas and actual history.

Russia is big, and quite a long way from anywhere else.

I wonder which rational minority John Larkin thinks he is talking about. Russia isn\'t very well off, so the well educated can get more money in other countries. India and China have much the same kind of problem.

The US has a different kind of problem - its employers can always offer attractive employees loads of money, but it isn\'t a great place to bring up kids.
