I'm looking for information on RCA P406 TRIACs. I have a bunch and
would like to know if it would work for 120 VAC switching and phase
control with non-inductive loads. This one is labeled:
P406
RCA
HVB 7838
T1 T2 G
I guess P406 is the part number. The HV* string changes, some are
HVA, and I guess that's some lot code and date code. The bottom line
obviously gives the pinout. They seem to work in two quadrants. I
haven't tried them with power line voltages or high currents.
