Apologies for this Aus (?) character. Most of us are friendly people who

see

Aus(trian) or Aus(tralian)?

AUS (Australia), AUT (Austria).

You just don't get it, do you?

In English, Aus (?) could be either.

Can't figure out how I abused you, but I appreciate your advice
anyway.

Don't worry about Jim - he flames everybody.

Thanks, Rich.

I've been flamed before, and I'll be flamed again. The price paid for
needing help, I suppose.

Booy, do I feel stupid! I meant "Don't worry about _PHIL_! - _HE_ flames
everybody." I must have had the other Jim on my mind at the time, albeit
he's no Phil. ;-)

Sorry if there was any misunderstanding. :)

Thanks,
Rich

No misunderstanding - I took your comment as you intended.

Ultimately, I was successful in accomplishing my objective using my
little homespun pre-amp. That is, I got my calibrator calibrated.

But I have a couple of low noise LT1037 op amps on the way from
DigiKey. This was one of the several helpful suggestions I received.

I also plan to try cascading a couple of LF411's. I have a few more
10K pots on the way, too, to assist with offset voltage adjustment.

Just in case you wanted an update ;-)

Jim
