Pioneer model VSX-D508 "PowerOff" message

Hello- Have any techs experienced the following problem with this
model ? A few seconds after I turn it on I get a "PowerOff" message on
the display. It keeps flashing for a few seconds then the unit shuts
off. Any tips or hints as to what might be causing this are greatly
appreciated. Thanks
