I know some 'mericans live in their own bubble, but surely you must know

Cursitor Doom has dropped hints that he is/was British,

I've wondered, who would be a good President?

I used to think Romney would be good, but then he got swamp-captured

not someone with an actual path to the job.

When Joe Rogan was asked this (by E. Wwienstein) he said
Tulsi Gabbard. And I could go with her. People complain about
her foreign policy, but mostly she seems honest to me.

I'd take Romney now in a heart beat! :^)

There's a photo of a number of world leaders who are huddled together looking over their shoulders with big smiles on their faces and clearly talking about Trump who had just made some grandiose announcement.

But why shouldn't the rest of the world laugh at him? Let's face it, we only elected him for comic relief. The electoral college got together in the corner of the round room and decided it would be a huge hoot to put him in office just to see what would happen. They figured he couldn't do any real damage. He was just an actor on a reality TV show. It's not like he was a former film star or anything.

Now Slim Pickens, I'd vote for him any day! Just not for President. Actors don't automatically make for good Presidents.

Fortunately most of the country doesn't agree with you. So unless the electoral college again perverts the course of the election, it won't be happening.

Most of the world also doesn't agree with you. However, the part of the world that does agree with you likes to meddle in our elections.

I guess some of us are accustomed to being laughed at.

Unfortunately the world is not our oyster. We have to cooperate and have the cooperation of other countries to get what we want and to do what we need. When they are laughing at us, they are dealing with us at arms length. Kinda the way we have dealt with North Korea all this time. We even made a puppet movie with him in it.

Even before he was dead he didn't get much cooperation from the rest of the world.

During the American Revolution, most continentals were dismissive of
the colonials. There were little ditties like

Yankee Doodle went to town
A-Riding on a pony
Stuck a feather in his cap
And called it macaroni

The revoution's chances seemed slim.

France, however, had taken an interest in the electrical researches of Ben
Franklin, and he had a well-received visit (what we'd call a lecture tour) in
that country. Accordingly, the revolutionary effort later had assistance of a
small French fleet at Yorktown.

Being taken seriously does matter. Even if it's by foreigners you've never met.

Doesn't look good for the US.

Narcissists like to be the center of attention, and here we are

What exact mental process leads to that overwhelming urge or what leads

among psychologists as well.

One has to be a bit of an egomanaic to even get out of bed every morning

The best explanation I have heard is that a pathological narcissist in
the Freudian model of id, ego, superego actually has a damaged "ego"
functionality. The ego in the Freudian model is the reality-picture
integration center. He must solicit attention because he cannot generate
a somewhat accurate picture of reality internally, the pilot has a
broken windscreen and is flying on instruments (second-hand information)
only.

Sort of like Jesus, really.

Everything Trump says is ambiguous and unintelligible. How can he every criticize anyone else for sounding like they no longer have their edge? Maybe that's because sounding an ambiguous and unintelligible IS Trump's edge?

But it was pretty clear he was talking about internal use of disinfectants. I don't know how that could be any less clear coming from him. "And then I see the disinfectant where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute," he said. "And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning?" From the BBC.

No way anyone can walk this back. "Sarcasm"??? No, sorry White House. What could possibly been sarcastic about that statement???

Trump is a total moron when it comes to Presidential things. He does relate well with other world leaders though. Kim thought Trump was a good guy. Putin seems to like him a lot too. Hmmm... maybe that's not a good thing. They both seem to be ignoring any reaction the US has to what they do. It's as if we had no power at all.

The nuclear missiles and aircraft carriers are the only reason most of
the world has been "listening" to the US for a long time, now.

What about democracy, jeans, torn jeans, rock-and-roll, airplanes, the
defeats of Germany (twice) and Japan, saving europe from the commies,
the Marshal Plan, McDonalds, KFC, transistors and ICs, LEDs, lasers,
personal computers, google, Youtube, Facebook, GPS, and the internet?

Nope.

No, that isn't clear from what Trump said. Either way,
using any form of "disinfectant" is a cretinous concept.

Or what about using UV internally, in ways /other/ than
via the skin. Oh, the comedians will have fun with
suggesting other ways to get UV internally!

I'm not sure how you get a "tremendous amount of light" /through/ the
skin either.

I think we can expect the sales of suntan beds and UV lamps to go up in
the USA, along with the rates of severe sunburn and skin cancer.

To my mind the revealing aspect is not just Trump's idea itself, but
that he clearly thought he could contribute to a world-wide effort
involving many well-educated people!

That's because he "gets it"!!!

Maybe he has hay fever or something now.

I mean the Noble Laureate in the Oval Office:

This is not OK. Nothing about a President who acts like this is OK.
It *was* funny at first, I'll give you that, but the comedy wore
thin a long time ago.

You are allowed to vote for someone else next time.
There's not much to choose from. Maybe I'll learn how
to do a write in on my ballot.

I've wondered, who would be a good President?

I used to think Romney would be good, but then he got swamp-captured
too. It's surely somebody that hardly anybody has heard of, certainly
not someone with an actual path to the job.

When Joe Rogan was asked this (by E. Wwienstein) he said
Tulsi Gabbard. And I could go with her. People complain about
her foreign policy, but mostly she seems honest to me.
(and she served in the armed forces.)

I'd take Romney now in a heart beat! :^)

Trump is probably the pick of a pretty pitiful litter.
Yeah... we should be able to do much better.
I'm pretty much resigned to 4 more years of T.

We wouldn't last another 4 years as a democratic republic if he is in. One can pray for a skilled marksman tho...

I think we have finally crossed the line. It is now universally accepted that the United States of America is the stupidest country on the planet and we are most likely going to be shamed into leaving.

Until now we were simply mocked behind our backs by the leaders of other countries whispering about the many things Donald Trump has said to them privately. But now Trump has said something that even the stupidest of the stupid know it would be too stupid to allow them to live.

Trump talked about using disinfectants as internal treatment for COVID-19.. Yep, that's drinking the Formula 409. Going down on Mr. Clean. Loving the the Lysol. Pumping the Pine-sol. Shooting up with Clorox.

This now flags our President as the stupidest person in any position of authority, now and ever. That includes the first President of Troglodonia, Zog. Zog was a fair, but stupid leader. When he thought he was doing the right thing he often was actually hurting his countrymen more than not. But mostly those who voted for him supported his policy of stone wall building at the river which separated Troglodonia from the adjacent country Neanderstan. He campaigned on the promise of making Neanderstand pay for the way.. Unfortunately Neanderstan was happy to do so since the wall was built on the Troglodonian side resulting in severe consequences for the inhabitants..

And yet... President Trump is far stupider than Zog.

Even my friend's 5 year old knows enough to not drink the cleaners stored under the kitchen sink. Maybe Trump saw some cleaner stored on an upper shelf next to his Captain Crunch and it gave him an idea.

Either way, we are now the stupidest country in the world and are going to be kicked off at the next vote.

What *REALLY* gets me is that people (his followers? stooges?) don't have enough gray matter to understand that a lot of what Trump says is *COMPLETELY WRONG* and *YET* they stand by him and don't call him out. (WHY??) Doesn't anybody THINK anymore??? Some facts are immutable. Surely 35% of the ppl in this country can't be THAT stupid! Is our form of government that dysfunctional?

He goes to a rally in AZ tomorrow - can't wait to hear what comes out of his cantaloupe head...(Actually, I won't waste the energy to listen..)

If Trump is elected we won't have to deal with 4 more years of his stuff. It is pretty clear that sooner or later he will incriminate himself and with the Democratic Senate he won't be able to squirm out of impeachment.

Politics is bizarre stuff. I guess that's because people are all so different. Mostly it's because it is easy to lead people, even without a leash.

Or to grate America on his embezzelment grater.
He is back on the gutting of the pentagon's budget coffers for his
pathetic wall. to me Billions of dollars = felony embezzelment.
The Trump family is robbing the US Treasury for his friemds and will
get kickbacks from them.
A fucking wall does not cost billions upon billions of dollars.
Especially since it was supposed to be a number for the entire wall,
and that got spent and the retarded piece of shit has not even made it
150 miles yet.
