Actually, I mean literally alive, as in not dead:

Ya can't buy happiness with money, but it sure gets you close ;-)

The way I heard it:

I don't remember who said it first... but that's reality ;-)

Indeed it is. It's amazing how many (terminally) negative people are out
there. I know several who wouldn't be happy with infinite money.
....and sex. If you want a hint at people's mindset, look at how they tip.

Maybe that's one reason why JT struck out on his own. I don't know
if he had to wear a monkey suit. Not all professional jobs I've had
required that, but things are more relaxed these days.

I don't give up. I'll play the game to get the resume` looking good
if I have to, but I'm not about to give up on being able to call the
customer my own unless it's a really great job. I inherited that
from both my mother's father and my own father. The only "jobs" they
had were military, during WW-I and WW-II respectively. Gramps had a
few biz's - lost his ass in the depression giving away coal to
people that couldn't buy it. Dad was an architect - designed a
church in his fraternity house and sold the design. Too bad the
stress of the real estate market and the stress from his bitch-whore
mother and sister killed him.

And, of course, as The Philosophizer, I'm on a mission from God;

But "perfect" means "complete" which I consider "balanced" - Yin
Yang. One thing that sickened me about the xtians that tried to
brain-wash me was that they seemed to think that being ignorant and
non-worldly was part of being saved. I understand not being attached
to the world, but I can't see how one can be ignorant of other
cultures and beliefs and be truly tolerant of others - they just
tell them they'll go to hell if they don't believe what they
believe.

They'd tell you to sell everything and give it to the Lord. I never
could get them to give up the house, pool, cars, VCRs, computers -
nothing.

Once you learn to be poor and alive, I think you'll find that you
can still have money and be alive. Especially if you've gone from
money to shit and pulled yourself back up by the boot-straps.
Humbling experiences like that sometimes work.

I can't imagine *you* being spiritually dead no matter how
financially sucessful you may be one day. It a matter of balance.
You don't want to become obcessed, but at the same time, you have to
play "what if" games. "What if this product stops selling?" "What if
this huge customer goes elsewhere." The latter is a big problem in
my biz. I can't work for more than one customer until I take the
time to find good people to run different jobs - that's now a
priority. That's how businesses fail. Don Lancaster sent me his
ISMM-I book. He talked about having multiple sources of income. He's
a fart smeller, I mean smart feller So i'm going to restart the
biz, get multiple jobs going, and move the damned biz toward
electronic design. The only two problems in life are money and other
people.

So... Waddaya do for money, funny? ... What do you do for kicks?
