My recollection is that "It's not spam" is a button you can press to
teach the Bayesian filter what should not be in the spam folder.
* There is NO "button".
But Outlook does allow filters to be programmed after a crude fashion.
   NOT "Bayesian", logical if-then only.

Well, that is seriously crap to the point of being unusable

The only place I use hand-crafted filters is to avoid subthreads
started by people that waste electrons.

Thunderbird's bayesian filter is so good now that ! get maybe
one false positive and half a dozen false negatives per month.
The false negatives are used to further train the filter,
simply by clicking the "Junk" button.

That said my own ISP's server side spam filter put their final
reminder that I hadn't paid in spam (because credit card expiry date
had passed). First I knew there was a problem was "connection refused".

*  At least ONE e-mail was NOT delivered. NAC, $2K appx.

*  The email in my Microsoft Office 365 Outlook cannot be sent to a
gmail account (not found).
** It also refuses to recognize robertbaer@localnet.com, despite the
fact I sent an e-mail from there to info@oil4lessllc.com (and saw it
there).

I suspect user error. You have form.
* NOPE!

Yes, you do have form.

Example: you believe you can't use thunderbird with 1&1,
when they have a help page showing how to do exactly that.

*   The ransomware in my Microsoft Office 365 Outlook inbox cannot
be accessed or blocked, only hidden.
** I also see spam mail that has a green image header that states
"This email is from a trusted source".
Obviously, the rest of the e-mail does a fair job of
representing Microsoft.
** I also see spam mail that has a yellow image header in similar
vein. Unfortunately i have been rather agressive in deleting garbage
e-mails and cannot find an example.
That image text starts with something like "this is spam" and
ends with text similar to "this is not
spam".  Yes, it DOES contradict itself; and the e-mail IS spam.

There is something wrong with your rendering engine. There should be
a button to allow you to override the Bayesian decision and help it
to better understand your incoming emails. If you use a hopelessly
broken web browser on some misconfigured prehistoric platform all
bets are off.
* Wrong on a number of items:
  1) NO "Bayesian" decisions, in fact NO decisions unless one sets up
a filter which is strictly logical.

Unacceptably primitive; unusable nowadays.

You should use a tool suited to modern living. I like
thunderbird/seamonkey, and configure it to keep copies
on the server and on my local machine. That way if the
server is inaccessible, or the server company disappears,
I still have access to my emails.

But email client is a personal preference; choose whichever
one suits you.
* I m talking about the paid ONLINE version.
The only way to use something else,is have all e-mail forwarded to
another server that treats you right.
Am in the process of doing that (ProtonMail); have all** e-mail
copied there now; just got done "downloading" our e-mail from online
Outlook folders to desktop version.
Have no idea as to what may be missing there, or what was NOT
transferred.
** Know of one incoming e-mail that was not accepted by Outlook; how
would you like it if a client could not send a PO or RFQ?

  2) I see this problem in Win 7 using latest FireFox; if FF is
broken, then you better complain to them because this shit has been
going on for a number of versions.

*  My Microsoft Office 35 Outlook inbox is cluttered with my sent
emails. Is the cloud raining?

More user error. I have never seen it do that even with my
technophobic cousins in the driving seat.

**This is a VERY serious problem. SENT e-mails have NO business
arriving in the INBOX.
   It is becoming more prevalent.

I specifically choose to keep my sent emails in my inbox, so
that a conversation's threads are preserved.
* Well, there is a simple way to show the thread if you want to do that,
and re-collapse.

*  The door to our home has been destroyed by Microsoft Office 365
Outlook. Outlook is in an infinite continuous GET loop.

*  Why is it not possible in my Microsoft Office 35 Outlook to cut
text from a file into an e-mail? The result is a bunch of blank lines.

*  Why is it not possible in my Microsoft Office 35 Outlook to
fix/correct an error I made in an e-mail address?

How is it supposed to guess what you intended to type?
* Yes, BUT if i goof, i should be able to FIX it, and now that bad
address is now a default address; cannot delete or correct it.

*  Why does Microsoft IGNORE Microsoft Office 35 Outlook problems?

Microsoft routines deny all problems unless the sky is falling.
Win10 forced updates have bricked a fair few portable systems.

* They do not even ALLOW anyone to contact them.

When they have morons for customers can you blame them?

You can accept Office 365 mail server feeds into any mail client you
like. I use Thenderbird and it works fine for me. Every now and then the
server side spam filter mis-classifies something important as spam.
Often these are emails from my ISP warning of impending doom (pay up or
else). I find it ironic that they don't whitelist their own domain!

This is an online paid version, and Office is NOT a server.

I use Office 365 online paid version you clueless fuckwit. My ISP long
since abandonned providing its own mail service and out sources it to
Mickeysoft. There were a few glitches at first notably the withdrawal of
an infinite range of email addresses on my domain and wildcard matching.

The settings for accessing Office 365 with a generic mail client are
something like:

outlook.office365.com:995 SSL/TLS normal PW
smtp.office365.com:587 STARTTLS normal PW

You are not compelled to use their horrid webmail interface. RTFM

* You certainly do not know how to READ.
I SAID i am using the online paid version.
ALSO, note that Microsoft Office 365 Outlook _IS_ an e-mail client.
Therefore, who has advertised to all the readers of this NG that it
is YOU that accepts no clues or other info?

MANUAL???
There is none, and M$ provides absolutely NO support. in fact it is
impossible to send problems to them concerning this POS.

Well, after downloading and installing Outlook 2019, i was able to see
he same e-mail folders with the same contents "on" my computer; i doubt
that is where that apparent copy resided; i think it was on the "cloud".
Makes no diff; there i could File/Import Export/ etc to (chose CSV
ignored PST) to desktop.

NOW HERE IS THE NASTY:
Those CSV e-mail files are NOT SOX compliant!

Penalties for non-compliance: Formal penalties for non-compliance with
SOX can include fines, removal from listings on public stock exchanges
and invalidation of D&O insurance policies. Under the Act, CEOs and CFOs
who willfully submit an incorrect certification to a SOX compliance
audit can face fines of $5 million and up to 20 years in jail.

You ask what is wrong?
There is _NO_ date and _NO_ time field for the e-mail entries,
despite 19 other fields.
CSV fields are:
"Subject","Body","From: (Name)","From: (Address)","From: (Type)","To:
(Name)","To: (Address)","To: (Type)","CC: (Name)","CC: (Address)","CC:
(Type)","BCC: (Name)","BCC: (Address)","BCC: (Type)","Billing
Information","Categories","Importance","Mileage","Sensitivity"
